Emma held tightly onto Killian as Hades disappeared and they were left in the underworld. Lifeless bodies laid on either sides of them, making a small path for them to walk through to an unknown destination. The souls that were trapped were reaching out in visions of black and white smoke and what appeared to be magic. They looked as if they had been screaming or trying to talk.
Regina held tightly onto Robin as they were further ahead of the Captain Swan duo. Regina held herself close to Robin's muscular physique as they made their way closer to where Hades wanted them to end up.
It was then Emma noticed it was only the four of them. Neither Henry, Snow, Charming, Red, nor anybody else where there. At least in that portion of the "tour" Hades set them on.
Making it to what was believed to be the end, they walked through a portal that transported them to a place that was clearly further back in time. They stood upon a sand hill and saw the town below them. It was crafted with structures supported by pillars. Artwork of golden people were colored; painted and dust crafted into the structures. A beautiful fountain graced the center of the town. They noticed how there had been a seemingly beautiful goddess as the center of the fountain.
The homes in the villages were all small but nicely decorated as they were without windows and clearly before the time of wrecking balls and cranes. As they walked through the town, they noticed how everyone was dressed in curtain-like clothing-aside from the men whose torsos were covered in armor and their waists held legging-type coverings that had pads in the knees which protected them.
"Isn't it strange? Nobody has looked to us or we do not feel the sun's heat. It must be at least eighty degrees at not one person has looked to us or no drops of sweat have acquired upon one of us?"
"Quite perceptive..." Hades said as he appeared before them. His hands were now in front of him, crafted into fists. "Do you not see? This was their lives before I entered their realm. They were protected by a hero. One who called himself Hercules. Muscles that could lift mountains. He slayed all my beasts and it was then I realized I could use the love he felt for a woman to take it away. To win."
"What did you do?" Emma asked, trying to keep her voice calm.
He turned and moved his hands before the scene changed into chaos. "It is quite simple. I traded him his strength for the protection of his love; Meg. But you see... I was defeated. That was until your portal opened up and here I am back where I belonged. Hercules ended up with his love and the admiration and acceptance of his father...But that was before this-before you."
"What did we do?"
"You interfered; made things even more difficult-" As he gave a lengthy explanation, Killian noticed how he could feel through to the other side almost as if it in itself was a portal. He motioned toward Emma as Regina and Robin were now the ones being talked to by Hades. Killian motioned toward Emma who then grabbed Robin's hand who then reached for Regina but it was too late, they were through and she was stuck behind. Only when they passed, they saw only the other side of the town. Robin tried to run but found it only continued the city, as if the portal never existed.
"Bloody hell..." Killian said as he Robin looked frantically for Regina and Emma along with him.
*I PROMISE IT GETS BETTER!!! XO! Thoughts?
