We walk onto the board walk taking everything in. "How is this any less hot than ehat it would be inside?" Conrad asks. "Because.. you have the magical sea breeze to cool you down." Belly says back to him. I smile to myself seeing belly and Conrad getting along again. "Cool breeze my ass, I want some ice cream natures air conditioning" taylor says complaining.
We get our ice cream as we are walking jere sneaks his spoon in my icecream and takes a bite. "JERE." I yell at him as I take some of his. At the end of this war we are left with icecream on our faces. We have to get napkins from the lemonade stand we past at that moment.
Me and jere stop and listen to the conversation happening. "My mom always hated it, but Susanna always loved it." Skye says. " you know what else my mom loved? The beach house." Conrad says once again.
Skye rolls her eyes. "My mom isn't evil Conrad.. And your mom wasn't a saint." Conrad leans against the railing a few moment later me and and jere do too looking at eachother oddly..
I can tell belly wants to change the subject immediately. "Skye!! Have you ever played shoot your shot?" Belly asks them. "no and I'm fine keeping it that way." They say awkwardly. "Well do you want to watch me kick Conrad's ass?" Belly says looking over at Conrad.
Everybody giggles "you could not do that" Conrad says to belly. "I wouldn't hate watching that.." Skye says. They are actually smiling.. "you think you still got it Conrad?" Belly asks Conrad once again. "Okay no please not another great boardwalk show down!" Steven says
"Why not?!" Belly and I say in Union. Jere looks at me smiling, in my response I rest my head on his shoulder.
"So they used to do this big tournament on the board walk every year when they were kids, I would get a rividing play by play as soon as belly and y/n got home" Taylor says explaining to Skye. "Yeah every year until belly and Conrad got too competitive and my mom banned you guys from ever playing again." Steven says as jere laughs.
