Chapter two

*short chapter*

"He-her heartbeat," Kara said, voice cracking

"What about it Kara?" Alex says turning to the DEO agents that were working on Lena

"It's-It's slowing down, Alex," Kara said, while more tears fell down her cheeks

"HEY. VASQUEZ, SPEED IT UP." Alex called while moving closer to Lena to help connect wires to her chest to see what her heartbeat was. When she notices that it's too slow, she jumps into action to give her the right medicines to try to keep her stats up until they get to the DEO.

Alex looks at her sister after she knows that Lena has a proper heartbeat rhythm.

"She's going to be okay, Kara. I promise. We'll figure out what happened. I promise." Alex says looking into her sister's broken-looking eyes.

Once they get to the DEO the medical team rushes Lena, now unconscious, past Alex and Kara and leaves them outside of the medical wing doors. Kara is just standing with tears falling down her face, with no clue what's going on with her girlfriend.

Alex looks over to her sister and sees that she's silently crying and just pulls her into her arms.

Meanwhile, in the medical wing, Doctor Hamilton starts running tests on the younger Luthor. First drawing some blood and then getting her connected to the proper machines would show how her vitals are.

Meanwhile, Kara was sitting outside the room, trying not to listen to what was going on inside the DEO's version of an ICU room and waiting for one of the doctors to come out and tell her what was happening.

It was eight minutes later when a doctor finally came out.

"What's going on? Is she going to be okay? Why did this happen?" Kara fired off the questions, not letting the doctor get a word in.

Alex puts a hand on her sister's shoulder. "Kar, maybe let the doctor get a word in."

"We need to run some more tests. Right now we just know that she was faint because she hadn't eaten or drank much today."

"Shocker," Alex said under her breath.

"So is she going to be okay though?" Kara asked, eyes still wet with tears.

"We'll know more after we've run more tests but right now her heart rate is good. We just have her on an IV to help her get rehydrated." The doctor told them. "You can go on in, though."

Alex and Kara nod and rush into the room to see a nurse checking Lena's stats and then waking out.

Kara moves next to the bed and grabs Lena's hand. "You're going to be okay, Lena. I'm sure of it."

Alex was watching her sister, trying to think as positively as she was but she knew deep down that this was something more serious. They wouldn't need to run more tests on her if it was just dehydration. Alex checks the time and sees that it's nearly 2 pm.

"Kara I gotta go meet Maggie for lunch but I'll be back after," Alex told her sister, resting a hand on her shoulder.

"Okay," Kara mumbled.

Alex sighed and walked out of the room. Kara waited for the door to close before grabbing a chair from the corner of the room and bringing it closer to the bed.

"Please wake up, Lena. I need you" Kara begged. Laying her head down on the bed, tears, once again, falling.
