Time was anything but slow for the youngest Spellman. She had over-comed The Harrowing, and the threats made by the three sisters. Sabrina moved swiftly through the large corridors of the Academy. Her goal? Not getting caught.
All was cherry, until she heard Raphael's hushed voice talking to a figure, holding her in his arms as she looked like she was in pain. "I'll be ok, Raphael. You know Father Blackwood would have our heads if he caught us out this late." Sabrina heard Nicolette's soft voice.
"I'll stay here as long as you need, princess"
Sabrina didn't trust the man nor did she tolerate him being around her sister. She had to admit even she could see that he truly cared for Nicolette, The way his arms were slithered around her older sister's petite figure.
The younger Spellman stood watching from the shadows, as she saw everything unravel.
Nicolette's winces of pain really did take a toll on the younger sister, and against her better judgement she marched slowly towards the two figures but before she could reach the two she was stopped in her tracks. She saw it.
The Truth.
There he was, The Dark Lord stood behind the man, only being visible by the lit candles glistening against the walls.
"Father."
...
"I'll stay here as long as you need, Princess" Raphael voice stormed throughout the corridor as he kneeled in front of me slithering his arms around my waist until we had an unexpected visitor..
Suddenly long claw-like fingers grabbed onto Raphael's shoulders. Notes of brimstone laced the air around. My mouth stayed agape, the Dark Lord was not even a few feet away from me and i looked like this. What must he think of me.
"Please forgive me, Dark Lord." Was all i could voice out as the pain became unbearable. I tried to get up to kneel but my winces were a fine indication that i couldn't.
"She's getting worse, Father" He faced his father. "No magic i've tried can help her. We need to bring her back." Raphael's voice laced with anger as he looked back at my pain-consumed body.
"Is that what you want, Spellman?" The Dark Lord's voice questioned "To return?"
I took a glance at Raphael, his face filled with an unreadable face. He wanted me to say yes. And as much as i needed the pain to end I couldn't leave my family.
"No Lord Satan. I wish to stay here with my family." I graciously asked. My nervousness must've been worn on my sleeve because i could've sworn I almost saw Raphael smile.
"Heed this warning, Child. The pain will not stop until you return to where your soul resides." With that the Dark Lord was gone, as if he was never there.
I had every right to be scared to my bones. Fear was what felt like crushing my petite figure. and glands of sweat appeared to trickle down my forehead.
"Why did you say no?" He asked while walking me back to my Dorm. "I have family here, Raphael. A life." His questioning voice was making me even more mad.
Raphael seeing as I was tired and it was nearly 3 in the morning on a school night decided to end his nagging. The rest of the walk to my dorm was very quiet.
As we entered Raphael helped lead me to my bed. I missed being able to sleep without pain jolting me at night. Raphael helped pick out a two piece nightgown for me and helped me put it on.
