Chapter 5

•Past and present•

It was raining , everyone was so tired and bored because of the lectures by professor's including Adya. She rested her head in the desk and watched outside some kids playing in mud, she remembered her childhood days.

She goes to canteen with Nidhi, there she saw some boys bullying Sanjana she rushed towards her putting her plate in a table.

"Hey what's your number girl, just tell us and you are good to go" a boy said to Sanjana.
"It's six" Adya replied from back.
"Six?? what kind of number is that?" That boy said.
"Number of my shoe you son of a b*tch, now if you don't get the f*ck out of here I am gonna print that number on all of the parts of your body with my shoe." Adya shouted In anger.
"Don't ever show your face again to us, remember it." Adya while pointing to him.

The boy left while cursing.

Adya started comforting Sanjana.

"Woahhhh that was fire, I never knew that you were this strong, i bet you scared the hell out of that poor boy." Dev said.

"Yaa sometimes you just need to stand for you and your friends you know" Adya replied.

Dev leaned towards Adya and said"So how's your research going? about the Mansion".

Adya was sad she said in a low tone "I read the whole diary...each and every page of it, I got to know what that girl...Rebecca has been through but I just don't know how can I save her from the spirit of her step father."

"See don't stress yourself out so much, take some rest I will try to gather more information about that Mansion okay?" Dev started comforting Adya.

Adya replied"Yeah you're right, i will take some rest".

"How about we go to the market this evening at 8pm after you are done resting, I mean you will feel good if you walk a little and buy some accessories for you, I know a very good shop I'll take you there okay?" Dev said to Adya.

"Yaa that's a good idea, let's meet outside the hostel at 8pm then" Adya replied

"Okay bye then, see you at 8." Dev said while leaving.

At 07:56 pm

"Boo!!" Adya startled Dev as she tip toed and came all the way.

"Ahh!! I am surely going to die one day because of yo---" Dev said while turning, he was too stunned to speak when he saw Adya in that dress, her eyes, her smile, her fragrance, everything about her seemed so beautiful today.

"Oh helloo??? are we going to the market or not?" Adya said as she waved her hand in front of his face.

"Y-yya we are going, of-ofcourse we are" Dev said while walking.

While they were walking Adya saw a bunch of Dog coming towards them fiercely, Dev was scared and he shouted in fear where Adya calmed the dog in seconds and started to pat him.

"How long are you planning to snuggle my hand like that Mr. Scaredy cat." Adya said in a teasing tone.

Dev was embarrassed and said while pouting "Wh-Whattt I am not scared I could also have done that huhh, I was just startled by the dog and IM NOT A SACREDY CAT huhhh shut upp you goddess of dogs."
