Bang... I heard a loud gunshot. My heart started racing, and I could feel the blood pulsing in my ears. As I closed my eyes, waiting for the bullet to hit me, I felt an overwhelming sense of fear and panic. When I opened them again, I saw my nanny lying on the ground with a bullet wound in her chest. Blood was seeping out of the wound, and I could see the life draining out of her. I felt a sense of shock and disbelief as I looked at her lifeless body. I noticed the details of the scene, the way the moon glistened off the pavement, the way the leaves rustled in the breeze. It was like everything had slowed down, and I was seeing the world in a new way. She looked at me with her last bit of strength and whispered, "Take care, Carol."
..
.I jolt awake, my heart racing, and I swiftly scan my room, heaving a sigh of relief. The clock's glowing numbers reveal it's 3 am, the dead of the night. Feeling parched, I hastily pour myself a glass of water and raise it to my lips when an unexpected knock on the door startles me once more. "Come in," I call out, and the door creaks open. Elena enters, her expression filled with concern, and she glances at me. "Another nightmare?" she inquires softly.
Elena's hand rubbed her face as I nodded in agreement. I drank my water....I hated that my nightmares were causing her worry, especially on the nights of her late shift. But I couldn't help it. I had been having the same nightmare for years now, the night when I lost my family 12 years ago.

(The next day)"How was the party last night? Did you hook up with someone?" Elena asked with a smirk on her face.
I gave her a cold stare, and she returned it with an innocent one of her own. "I was there for business, Elle. I am not interested in hooking up," I said while eating a small chunk of bacon.
"Oh come on girl, learn to have some fun . I bet u can take some time out for one or.. maybe two orgasms in a night between ur 'business'". She says while dipping croissant in her favourite hot chocolate. I ignore her remark and continue to eat my fried egg before coming down to the real talk.
