Chapter Five ~ Aunt May

Robin's Pov ~
I wake up and throw on my suit, without the mask for now, my high tops and a jacket since I'm going to see aunt May soon. I go into the kitchen and see Peter singing into a spatula and dancing to September by Earth, Wind & Fire while cooking something. "Morning, Pete." I say as he jumps and turns around.

"Robin! You scared me!" He says turning down the music slightly and going back to cooking. "Also where you going? You're in your suit."

"I know I'm in my suit genius, I'm going to see aunt May." I say and walk past grabbing some bacon and eating it.

"Hey! That was mine!" He shouts and tries to hit my shoulder.

"Too bad, mine now." I say with a mouthful of bacon. "I'm gonna go down and see everyone then I'm going to Mays to I'll see ya in a bit Pete." I say ruffling his hair then heading to the lift.

"You got your headphones?" he asks knowing I like to listen to music when I swing. I run back into my room, grab them and put them around my neck. "Bye Pete!" I shout from the lift.

"Byee Bird!" He shouts.

"Fuck off!" I shout back to him as the doors for the lift close.

The doors open and I step out to see a couple people in the living room, some watching what's on the Tv and others still half asleep. I walk into the kitchen to see Wanda cooking food and Mr Stark making a couple cups off coffee.

"Morning kid." Mr Stark says turning around sipping some coffee, "Where you off too?"

"Morning Sir, I'm going to see Aunt May!" I say smiling and grabbing a bottle of water as Mr Stark walks out with the tray off coffee cups. I look over too Wanda, I don't think she's noticed I even walked in, she's so focused on cooking and listening to music so I go over and tap her shoulder slightly. She jumps and grabs my wrist the releases it and smiles when she sees it's me, taking her headphones off too. "Mornings Wanda!"

"Morning! You want some pancakes?" She asks putting another onto a plate.

"No, thank you though, I'm going to see my aunt May and I wanna get going as soon as. Not really that hungry anyways." I say taking a sip from my bottle and I see her powers getting a plate out of the cupboard and placing two pancakes on it as well as a bottle of syrup next to it.

"You're not going anywhere till you at least eat one of them, and I know you'll eat both because my cooking is amazing." I grab the plate and syrup, putting some onto the pancakes and eating a bit of one. Oh my god, these are the best pancakes I've ever had, (don't tell aunt May I said that). Wanda must see on my face that I like them as she's smirking at me, "You like them?" I try to answer but my mouth is full of pancakes so it just comes out as a bunch of mumbling, she laughs then goes to sit in the living room trying to eat her pancakes as Pietro is trying to get them off her plate.

Can this girl get any better, she's so sweet, she's pretty and she makes the BEST pancakes ever (again, don't tell aunt May). I finish my pancakes and walk into the living room and Wanda looks up and smiles at me as well as Natasha who's the only other person awake in the living room. Speaking of she's giving me the strangest look, I look to Wanda who's glaring at Natasha. "So what were you guys talking about?" I ask looking between them.

"Nothing!" Wanda shouts quick then covering her mouth and looking to make sure she didn't wake anyone up. Natasha looks at her with a disappointed look as I stand there confused.

"Right okay, I'm gonna get going, thank you for the pancakes Wanda, they were really nice. Bye!" I say as I walk over to the window putting on my mask and jumping out the window and webbing to a building, swinging towards aunt Mays house.

Once i arrived at aunt mays I was about to come in through the window but I could hear talking so I poke my head into the window and see aunt May talking with someone, shit, guess I'm coming through the front door. I go back up to the roof and change into some green cargos, a plain white shirt as well as the jacket I was wearing over my suit. I shove my suit into my bag and go down the stairs that lead up to the roof going down to the 4th floor grabbing my keys and opening the door. "Hey aunt May!" I shout when I walk in.

"Robin, sweetheart, you didn't tell me you were coming over!" She says walking over to me and hugging me. "This is Rio, Rio this is my niece, Robin."

"I wanted to surprise you!" I say hugging her back, "Sorry I didn't know you have company. Hi, nice to meet you." I say smiling and waving to the woman I now know as Rio.

"Hi! It's so lovely to meet you, I've heard so much about you! You know I have a son a little younger than you and Peter, his name is Miles, he's starting at Midtown next semester!"

"That's awesome! Must be a smart kid, I'm sure Peter would love to show him around!"

She stands up walking to us with a smile on her face, she looks down at her watch then look back at May "Well I should be going, Jeff will be home soon and I wouldn't want him worrying! It was so lovely seeing you May! And lovely meeting you too Robin!"

"It was nice meeting you too, see you soon!" I smile and wave at her as she walks out the door then turn to aunt May and she's looking at me with kind of an odd look, could not tell you why, "May? What's wrong?"

"You! Are you crazy I saw you in the window! You need to be more careful Robin, she could have seen you!" She says in a way that it should have been obvious to me, "Don't look at me like that Robin, you are an actual genius how do you not think stuff like this through." She rolls her eyes walking to the couch and sitting down.

"In my defence, I didn't know anyone else was gonna be here." I say shrugging and walking to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. "Soo, how are you?"

She rolls her eyes as I sit down next to her on the couch, "I've been good sweetheart, how are you? Is there a reason you came over?"

"I'm good, I'm just kinda confused about something and you always help me understand what I'm feeling so I thought you'd help me." I smile at her and she smiles back and wraps her arm around me, telling me to continue. "There's this girl, her names Wanda and she super nice and pretty and, I don't know, she make me feel like, I don't know what word I'm looking for but I really like hanging out with her." I pause for a moment, "Oh! And I let her hug me, I never do that and I let her hug me, I offered it too! And her eyes are so pretty and she's got these super cool powers tha-. Okay I'm just gonna keep talking about her if you don't give me some input May." I say trying to get my breath back after blabbing on about Wanda. Aunt May just looks at me and smiles, "What?"

"Well to me Robin, it sounds like you have a crush." She says smiling at home, I sit up and look at her. A crush? I don't get crushes. I've never had a crush. "Robin it's fine you don't need to worry, it's perfectly normal for people your age to have crushes." I just sit and stare at her, what the fuck am I mean to do? "Robin sweetheart, you don't need to worry just be friendly with her and then you can either make a choice to ask her out or wait till it goes away." Right great, I'll just wait till it goes away, we can be friends. Yup. Friends. I'm going for a swing.

"Right! Thanks for that aunt May, loved our little chat I'm gonna go for a swing!" I say standing up and grabbing my bag going into mine and peters room and changing back into my suit.

"Darling are you sure you don't want to talk about it more I know it can be a bit of a shock." May says as I'm walking to the window putting my headphones on.

"Yeah! I'm great! Byee May!" I say jumping out the window, swinging off the buildings.
