'Woo- hoo~' Kaede let out her deep breaths of anxiety, in hopes of reclaiming her stable heartbeat, the one not filled with nerves and shifting thoughts of letting everyone down.

Every time her heart thumped she felt herself becoming more nervous as the seconds counted down.
"This is fine," she had said to herself over and over again. This was true, everything *was* fine. She would give an amazing performance, even if she herself was nervous, she is the ultimate pianist.
But that night was ruined by a single individual.

What...? Why am I standing here, on this stage with no instrument in sight, what happened to that grand piano.
Ah, that's right, someone stole it... right before my eyes, they swiped it just before the curtains drew and opened up the stage to the audience. I was the only witness to the clown faced fiend who's specks of purple hair peeked from beneath their mask and giant white top hat, their body was slim, and their chuckle boyish, so I am to believe the culprit who did this vanishing act on *my* piano was a boy.

He bore a white suit and checkered white and black cape. That giant instrument vanished right before my eyes, and when he shot a glance at me, I could tell even without seeing that thief's eyes that he was winking at me.... Mocking me right before he ran off, leaving not a trace for me chase.
And now I'm left standing in front of thousands of people who are patiently waiting for my performance, but I cannot give them that performance anymore.

Maybe I was right to be nervous, this *is* one of those worst case scenarios I thought up in my head, but it's one I never would have would come true. If only I had some super high school luck like Makoto or Nagito, then this would have never happened. '....' I couldn't make a sound, but at least that meant I wouldn't embarrass myself by screaming, thankfully.

Yes, yes, I'll wait for the staff to fix this and give me my signal... right... the staff... their probably freaking out right now. They can fix this though, and how would they fix this... they just need another piano, but... I mean who just has a spare piano laying around...? I do, but it's all the way back home. My thoughts were a jumbled mess, I was hopeful inside that hope's peak the Academy training the fledglings of hope; the ultimates, would at least have a spare piano.
But even if they did, it would take much to long to bring it here and set it up.

A staff member came rushing up to the stage with a microphone in hand and announces that there'll be having a short intermission and then move on to the stringed instruments, like guitar, violin, the cello, and also ukulele... but no piano...
I won't be able to play, all... because... of... that boy! That lousy, stupid, and evil thief has ruined my show! I wanted to stomp my foot, but I couldn't bear to accidentally break my heel because of that, so instead I swung my fist in place.

The curtains closed into a wall of velvet, and the staff member came up to me and said, 'Sorry sweetie, you won't be able to play this year, but next year I'm sure you'll get your chance.' And then they pat me on the shoulder and left.

Am I supposed to accept this..? If so, then... absolutely not!

I walked right onto the stage after the staff member left, and I started to search around for any clue of where that criminal could have gotten to, first I looked at the ceiling and saw nothing of note, 'There's  no way he got out that way,' I thought aloud, as I stared at the blacked-out lights and the one single window covered fully with a pitch black curtain. He wouldn't be able to get a piano through the ceiling unless he really *was* magic. If he didn't escape by using the roof, how did he escape? I tried to come up with answers to questions that didn't have a conclusive answer nor solution. I then walked over and touched the spot where the piano I was suppose to play used to be.
