[Name] was doing her monthly shopping. Owning a bakery that was open all the time did have to be restocked every once in awhile-- So, she was doing just that.
She looked around, purchasing flour, eggs, butter-- all the things she regularly used in everyday life. While shopping she looked to a plushie stall. The first thing she notice was a cluster of stuffed animals: Monkey, dragon, cat, pig, owl, and fox.
[Name] giggled softly to herself because they reminded her of her friend group.
Ever since she met MK her life hasn't been calm and peaceful. If anything, he pulled her into a world of chaotic events and exciting adventures. She didn't mind it, but [Name] sometimes wonders what her life would've been if she had never made that delivery.
She slowly walked over to the market stall, picking up the stuffed fox. It was the only plush that didn't have a pair.
For some reason, it felt as if the lonely stuffed animal was mocking her. Taunting her. Telling her that she had no one left.
No family.
No purpose...
MEMORIES
"Stuff! Roll! Press! Smack!"
"Stuff! Roll! Press! Smack!"
A mother sang, helping her daughter prepare the unbaked mooncakes. Both worked alongside the workers in their bakery; all either singing, or humming along with the duo.
"Sift the flour, let the eggs crack." She told her child, not missing a beat in making the dough. Guiding the little fox's hands in kneading said dough steadily. "Knead the dough on every hour-" "Then we start it all again!" They laughed in unison.
"Stuff! Roll! Press! Smack!"
"Stuff! Roll! Press! Smack!"
"Form the dough around the filling." A worker instructed, doing a demonstration for the little fox. She tried to follow their actions, clumsily forming a pastry ball. "Brush with egg and, please, no spilling." They informed sweetly, ruffling the girl's hair with a clean hand. A giggle erupted from her again as her Mama watched, baking the mooncakes.
"What a lovely gift they are!"
"And there's tradition in these mooncakes." The mother pointed out, pulling her daughter close as she handled a tray. "And we make every one with care. Then we bake them full of fondness, sweetness~" She nuzzled, handing her daughter a freshly baked mooncake. "Lofting through the air~"
"And there is magic in thеse mooncakes-- you can feel it all around?" Questioned the little fox.
The mother nodded while opening the shop, smiling lovingly at her little girl. "Mooncakes: Where the magic is found."
"We need five more... or maybe twelve-- 'Cause I've got the cousins coming!" She quickly changed her answer, looking towards her husband for input. "And you know just how they are. They love these cakes." The man sighed, looking towards the little girl with a smile. "So, I think we should get twenty more." The girl smiled, running off to get their order while her mom wrote down their total.

"Each one holds a message from the moon above: "Cherish life and everything you love"." Her Mama spoke, stroking her daughter's growing hair before cleaning up some foldable boxes. "Magic in these mooncakes..." Suddenly, her legs gave out. Collapsing.
She had experienced another dizzy spell.
Hearing something hit the floor, the girl ran to her mother, helping the woman stand with a soft, worried smile. "Magic in these mooncakes..."
"Mama?..."
"I'm fine, dear. Help me to my room, please."
"...Okay."

The chilly air was rolling in. The petals on all the trees falling and dancing in the autumn breeze. And the girl had grown a bit; now, she was 8 years old and helping with the selling of their pastries.
"How the leaves are changing... soon, the festival begins." The woman smiled, following her daughter's movements and sitting down softly[with her little girl's help]. Together, they lifted up a pink lotus flower. Its petals faded a soft white near the tips as they held it to the moon
"Such a special feeling~" The girl sang, gently placing the lotus flower in the flowing water.
"Magic in these mooncakes," she continued, grabbing her mother a mooncake as she stared up at the moon, "hidden in these mooncakes, for you-" Suddenly, her song was cut short.
Her mother was toppled over, coughing into her hand. The teenager watched in horror as she held her mother, seeing specks of crimson dot the ground below them.

Figures of many sizes, and ages, shrouded themselves in black. The skies cried, becoming heavy with clouds as its tears dampened house rooftops, grassy plains, and black umbrellas.
Many mourned in the presence of loved ones, others preferred solitude.
In a small bedroom, shadowed in darkness and shades of faint pink, laid a weeping figure under the sheets.Trembling with every cry that erupted from their body as they hugged a pair of earrings close. The amethyst stones, wet with clear tears.

493 years later...
[Name] came back to reality after feeling fresh tears hit her hand. She paid for the fox plush, and went back to her bakery. Many looked to her, wondering why she was crying-- but none approached her to point it out.
Once getting home she set the bought goods down, and began making two mooncakes. Just two. Placing each one on a singular plate. She walked deeper into the bakery, stopping at a kitsune statue covered in cherry blossom petals and small vines. [Name] knelt down, setting the plate in front of the stone fox.
She held the other mooncake in her lap.
"And there are memories in these mooncakes-- all the moments shared with you..." [Name] muttered quietly, lighting incense as small candles. "All the stories that you told me, Mama, make me think of you."
"Magic in these memories-- forever, I hold true. Mooncakes and the memories of you..."
Taking a small bite of her mooncake, she let herself cry. She was now 501 years old...
"Happy birthday to us..."

I'm aware that this chapter isn't about the Spider Queen-- I just wanted to use this as a filler chapter. Plus, I don't know how to squeeze [Name] into the episode without changing some things up.
With that being said-- I hope you all enjoyed reading this! If you haven't watched Over The Moon - directed by Glen Keane, I suggest you do. I love the movie so much!
