Flower Fruit Mountain.

Peaceful. Calm. Warm. And the home of ancient mysteries and adorable baby monkies.

In a cave, deep with the mountain side, hidden behind a waterfall, was the legendary Monkey King's home. Sun Wukong.

All was perfect, except-

"You know, when I found out I was going to be trained by the Monkey King: Great Sage, equal to heaven." MK spoke with a certain tone of wonder and narration. Though, it all dropped once he groaned at how he had repeated the same swinging motion so many times now.

"I had no idea that I'd be stuck here, hammering walls 12 hours a day!"

Not important to MK's bickering--

[Name] played with a small trinket her mother was said to have owned before she left for the heavens. An old pillow.

Said object was antique, and obviously handmade because some stitches were uneven and imperfect.

Despite the quality [Name] loved it to death, rubbing her cheek gently against the pillow as she smiled. Though very faint, it smelled like her mother's old scent.

Wukong just relaxed on his nimbus cloud, watching as the vixen be overly affectionate and attached to the object. He silently cooed at the display before speaking to MK in a laid-back tone. "Ahhh, so I can make a nice lil' breakfast nook. Get some light up in here."

The noodle boy ranted about how he was meant to be "Monkie Kid", not "Construction Boy". He complained on and on about the fact that he couldn't be a great hero without learning the hero stuff.

Wukong just chuckled in amusement before demonstrating what MK wanted to do. Although the noodle delivery boy expressed his increased admiration and determination for the subject, his mentor laughed heartily.

"Look, bud. You can't rush this stuff. You'll get there. You just need more practice." Monkey King said with a smirk.

[Name] had decided to get up at this time, morphing back into her human form. Her tail remained for a lingering second before she brushed it away, making a small poof of smoke.

She sighed at MK's begging face. Walking over, she placed a hand on his shoulder. In a way, the boy reminded [Name] of herself when she was younger.

"MK, he's never going to teach you something you don't need to know. You'll get there. It just... takes time." The vixen spoke softly, putting on her best reassuring look. MK visibly sulked and grew upset, but didn't argue.

A moment of silence ensued before MK'S cracked phone started buzzing. [Name] fished it from his pocket before answering. "Mei?"

"Sunshine! You and MK need to get here fast! We really need your help!"

[Name]'s eyes widened at the sight of the shadow monster in the back, feeling as if she's seen it before. A low growling sound escaped her, her fur standing on end. The vixen quickly hung up the phone a grabbed MK.

"We leave. Now."

Chaos was everywhere. Some buildings were leveled to the ground. Others had been damaged beyond repair. If anything, [Name] was glad that with today's modern technology, construction is faster than back then.
