Danganronpa: ultimate surveillance operator

Accepted into Hope's peak

I was standing in front of the gates to Hope's Peak, the most prestigious government-funded school for nurturing talent in the world, and the students accepted into Hope's Peak are called super high school level.

I suspected that I didn't need to give you an 8-minute-long spiel about how Hope's Peak operates and how I took time out of my day to look up the other ultimates who will be attending the same class.

I did not say what my talent is, did I? Well my talent is surveillance operator, I am good at all things surveillance. Observing and monitoring targets, locations, and events. How surveillance equipment works, gathering information, etc. But moving on.

I checked the time and I saw that the time was 6:30, and we were to meet in the main hall at 8:00. Now, why was I 1 and a half hours early? That is because I don't like being late and missing out on information.
I then entered the main hall and woke up lying on a bench in an unfamiliar room.

Now I am in this room that seems to be a laundry room. There is a row of washing machines and a table with magazines on it in the center, and there is a vending machine in the corner with energy drinks in it.

There is also a monitor and a surveillance camera, I wonder if someone is watching.

I step out of the laundry room, outside the laundry room is a big corridor, and in front to the right is an archway leading to a dining hall. To the left of the laundry room is a sauna. And to the left, standing from the laundry room is a corridor with doors leading down it. To the right is an archway with a sign that says "Hope's Peak Academy". I guess that is the way to the main hall.

I walk through the archway and what I see is a corridor with pillars in it and to the left is a sign that says "Despair Hotel". So I guess where I was is called Despair Hotel, so it's probably the living quarters. I walk past two classrooms and I see a big red door in front of me. I wonder what could be past it? I continue down the corridor past an A/V room, and then I enter the main hall.
