"So spill it" Eld said the next day.

"What are you talking about?" Gunther said as he walked into their room.

"What's your thing, are you vampire, alien..."

Gunther shot him a look. "I'm not an alien or a vampire"

"Well you aren't completely human according to those weirdos"

Gunther flopped down on their futon. "Well those weirdos are now our bosses"

"Does your power or what we have to do with the flask you carry around?"

"Yes"

"So...are you like Jekelle and Hyde? I mean I'm gonna find out anyways"

"Fine...but no weird jokes ok?"

"No promises"

"Of course" Gunther said rolling his eyes. "Anyways...I'm a werewolf"

Eld was silent for a moment. "So do I need to start taking you on walks?"

"You just couldn't help it could you?"

"You know me. I deal with tough situations with humor. But back to the matter at hand. How did you become one?"

"It's a bit of a long story" Gunther said.

"Good thing we are done with classes for the day"

"I have my chem lab at seven"

"So that like 4 hours from now"

"Ok but again it's a bit of a long story"

**************************************************
12-year-old Gunther never wanted to be in the Boy Scouts. He thought the outfits were goofy, and he just wanted to play baseball.

But here he was on the annual camping trip.

"Come on son at least look like you are having fun"

"Dad I've told you I just not into camping, or building soap box cars, selling popcorn..." Gunther said frustrated trying to get their tent up.

His dad let out a sigh. "Look, just participate in this camping trip and finish out the year, and...you can quit the scouts...deal?"

Gunther's eyes lit up. "Seriously?!"

"I promise" he held out his hand. Gunther shook it with enthusiasm.

Later that evening they were all sitting around the campfire. The young boys were attempting to tell scary stories. Gunther was almost certain he heard a strange noise in the woods. He turned and thought he met a pair of glowing red eyes. He blinked and they were gone.

"Um I'm going to the bathroom." He said getting up.

"Take a flash light" one of the troop leaders said.

Gunther made his way to the designated bathroom area. Then he looked back, seeing that nobody was paying attention to him. He steadied he nerves and veered left, looking for the glowing eyes.

He came upon a clearing, the full moon shining bright.

Gunther looked around and didn't find anything. With a dejected look on his face he was about to head back to the campsite when a snap of a twig caught his attention.

Gunther slowly turned around, and was meet with the pair of red eyes.

Gunther stumbled backwards as the creature towered over him. It was big and hairy, and was snarling.

Gunther wanted to cry for help, but he couldn't find his voice.

The creature lunged and things got hazy.
