chapter 5

After the bell had rang, Jake basically sprinted to the rooftop and planned out everything he would say. He finally arrived there but Hailey wasnt there yet. He walked up to the fence and slightly held on to it. (Jake x Fence 😱) He sighed, what if Hailey didnt believe him? What if she didnt actually come, what if-

He heard some footsteps behind him and looked over. There she was, the beautiful teal haired girl standing there, her hair slightly blowing in the wind. Jake cleared his throat,

"um, hi" he scratched the back of his neck and looked at Hailey.

Hailey sighed, "just get this over with" she said sternly.

Jake took a shaky breath in and out.

"A-alright so, w-what happened was, this Trevor guy had a hatred to me from the start i didnt really know why, which is why i think he wrote it" he looked at the floor, to scared to face her.

"And um i don't know where he got that i was just doing it for Daisy, well i was but only at the start, im over her now" he chuckled but quickly returned his face to normal.

"um and i didnt write that letter, thats not even close to my handwriting. I understand if you cant forgive me but you mean the world to me Hailey a-and the rest of the club aswell of course" He finally looked up to face her.

They stood in silence for a bit, looking at eachother. The wind blew softly through each of their hairs and howled quietly.

Hailey thought for a moment, she didnt know what to do. On one hand, he seemed like he meant what he said, but on the other hand how could he believe him? She bit the inside of her cheek and looked nervously into his eyes.

"Ill think about it, Jake" she calmly said.

Jake felt disappointed but at least it wasnt a no. He slowly nodded and looked at the ground. Hailey turned away and walked down the stairs. What was he to do now? He was all alone again. He let out a loud, shaky sigh and sat down, his back leaning against the fence and his knees up to his face. He put his face in his arms and closed his eyes, he just wanted to disappear. He closed his eyes as tightly as he could, trying to hold back any possible tears that were trying to escape his eyes.

Suddenly, somebody creaked the door open, Jake didn't want to look up because it could be anyone.

"Well hello Jake" A familiar but haunting tone said.

Jake finally looked up and his heart sinked at who it was, the same guy that seemed to be everywhere, ruining everything.

Trevor.

"What do you want!" Jake yelled, just wanting to get away from this monster.

"I see you were trying to work things out with Hailey huh?" He snarled.

"Well yeah.. why wouldnt I?" Jake asked.

"heh well, I may just have a few more tricks up my sleeve" He looked down at Jake with a slick smile on his face.

"God, when will you ever learn Jakey."
