— The next morning —

A cluster of stone crashed downwards, and in its wake a cloud of dust flew upwards. The red glow around the cliffside rocks diminished, and Chuuya's raised hand fell to his side, trembling slightly. He panted loudly, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"Shit..."

Chuuya sighed. In all honesty, he didn't expect that he of all people would be forced to train his ability. The teachers told him to 'break past his limits' by repeatedly using his ability, and Chuuya nearly scoffed when he first heard it. In fact, he didn't even know whether his ability could be strengthened, although this kind of menial training definitely would help. Even so, after lifting a boulder nearly a thousand times, he could feel his body straining. The redhead's mind started to wander, and he looked around for something or someone interesting to watch as he took a quick reprieve.

"Nakahara~ back to work! Plus Ultra!" Mandalay's telepathic quirk conveyed her message to him. He groaned internally. As the redhead was about to get back to lifting rocks, something caught his eye. He turned around and strode over to where the instructors stood.

"Hm?" Aizawa stared at him with a discerning eye. "What do you want?"

"Aah, you should be working~! Look at all your classmates!" Ragdoll giggled, leaning forwards and poking his nose.

Chuuya resisted the urge to swat her hand away. "I wanted to train with the gravity girl."

"Uraraka?"

"Yeah, her. If we did some kind of zero-gravity combat training, it could help her train her motion-sickness, and help me train my maneuverability, especially in air."

Pixie-bob tilted her head curiously. "But can you float? I didn't see you do it during the forest run."

Chuuya paused. He had nearly forgotten Dazai's explicit warning— "no flying." The redhead scratched his cheek, glancing to the side and clearing his throat. "Well, I actually never really considered it. Seeing Urara doing it, I thought I could give it a try."

Aizawa squinted at him. "It's Uraraka."

"Yeah. Her." Chuuya looked more and more to the side. Ragdoll laughed at his behavior and apparent shyness.

"Of course! That's a great idea. Mandalay?"

"I'll supervise you for a bit." She smiled, reaching over and ruffling Chuuya's hair. "Good for you to take the initiative. Just make sure not to get distracted with other things."

Chuuya avoided her hand. "I just thought it would be good training. Anyways, it's not as if..." His voice trailed off. "Wait, what other things?" Chuuya blinked at her, confused. Why did that sound so familiar? He thought about it for a moment. Other things? Like, Dazai? "That shouldn't be a problem."

Uraraka had already been called over by Pixie-bob. Though she was woozy from her own training and staggered her way over, she heard the last few sentences and froze, her ears flushing. After a quick second, Uraraka stepped beside Chuuya.

"Hi!"

"Hey." Chuuya turned to look at her. "You said you wanted me to help you train, right?" Unaware of the tone of the conversation, he continued. "Yesterday night?"

Aizawa raised his eyebrows.

"Y-yep! Haha." Uraraka felt the inquisitive eyes of all the instructors on her.

"Let's go." The redhead strode away with nonchalance. Uraraka and Mandalay followed, albeit after a slight delay. Ragdoll broke out laughing as she watched their receding backs, holding her stomach in pain.
