EVERYTHING IS FINE—
Which is what Y/n has been telling themselves ever since arriving in the realm of death.
Now surrounded by corpses and skeletons who inhabited the place.
Ironically everyone here seemed more lively than the inhabitants in the realm of living. Where everything was cold, grey and bleak.
Now Y/n was stuck here married to Corpse Bride.
Life wasn't thaaaattt bad.
But it would take time get used too this.
"There is still so much for you, for us to explore in the afterlife." Corpse bride eyes sparkled as he ran up to them.
In his hands he held a map he 'borrowed' from Franks archives. Even though he had been dead for a short while he never explored much of the realm of the death.
He had been laying around on the graveyard waiting for his one true love to come and find him. Now he was pretty stoked to live life to the fullest down here.
"I'm so happy to have a special someone to share a eternity with. I love you my darling!"
"I love you too... my dearest."
Y/n turned to face him, still a bit startled at the look of utter adoration he gave them.
They barely knew eachother but he was completely smitten with them.
They shifted their attention to the map, reaching out their hands wondering if they could have a look at it.
"You want it? Here please take a look." He eagerly complied. "This may be a bit embarrassing but I don't have a house of my own here, we should both start looking for one."
"Thank you." They murmured. "And I suppose that is for the better."
Y/n felt the edges of the paper crumble in their hands, it was old very old. Just like the buildings, everything here looked like reminiscents of the past.
Without putting much though to it they grabbed Corpse bride's hand, starting to walk into a random direction.
He giddily let himself get lead away, happy to follow them wherever they wanted to go.
It felt like a hour went by but it was difficult to keep track of time down here as there where no working clocks.
Y/n choose to rest on a crumbled down stone wall, enjoying a small break. Corspe bride walked down a couple of stairs, wanting to check out some buildings.
He promised to be back soon.
They hoped he would be alright by himself.
They didn't need to wait long as he came running back, waving his arms with a lot of enthousiasm.
"I found a abandoned house, perfect for us spend our first night together!"
Y/n felt their own face heat up, his comment making them realize they would probably share a bed together as well...
Like most married couples do.
They pushed thought away for now, if things where too awkward they would just sleep on the couch or something like that.
Welp this rundown building just had to do for now.
"Isn't it cozy here?"
"... sure is."
Y/n tried to ignore the ceiling that looked like it was about to collapse anytime. Giving Corpse Bride a shaky thumbs up.
When they walked in they did notice a lack of a couch or spare bed. Mmh the the stone floor didn't look all that appealing.
"Are you tired my love?"
"Ehh."
*insert flashbacks of them getting chased by a corpse and technically kidnapped to the realm of death.*
"I guess it's been a long day..."
"Which side of the bed do you want?"
Y/n picked left, climbing onto their side quickly pulling the covers over themselves. They both had already put on some oversized shirts as sleeping clothes.
Corspe bride crawled in on the right side, practically beaming with excitement to be so close. When they didn't move closer he did wrapping his arms around them.
"I know we already had our first kiss—" He began to say, trailing off."But I was wondering if we could do it again?"
He shyly looked at them, fumbling with his hand containing the wedding ring.
Y/n, greatly embarrassed themselves, felt their own face turning 50 shades of red.
"I suppose we could."
They closed their eyes, pressing their lips against his cold ones. For the rest of the night the two of them just cuddled before falling asleep.
