The Ultima and the Alpha

Chapter 4-Lunch

Even thought it was the first day and it was the day of the tours we still got to eat lunch in the cafeteria. The room was really weird it was separated into two rooms with a wall separating them that didn't go the whole way across the room. One side was peanut free the other was not. When we got the food oh my the food was amazing.  Like there's good then there like amazing. Even though I only ate pizza it tasted so much better than the food I ate at my elementary school. I saw Zayn sitting alone at a table so I thought why shouldn't I join him?

I sat right next to him and all he said was "oh it you again."
"Soooooo about earlier.... What do you think happened?"

He sighed "The window was open so I'm assuming the culprit escaped from there."

      "Do you know what the Ultima is?"
     "Yeah... why? Are you the Ultima???"

     " No I'm not but I think the culprit was trying to kill the Ultima...."

     "Why do you think that?"

    "Well the bat was bloody so that means it was used as a weapon and the professors tips were dyed red and his fur was a darker shade..."
     "Maybe if so at least we know the Ultima is still alive, it's not as bad as people think it is. Sure thousands of years ago it hurt a town but that was one Ultima... I feel bad for the Ultima having to live in fear feeling like a monster."

      I smiled knowing I couldn't tell him but he wanted to help the Ultima or me.

     " How do you know the Ultima is still alive I mean like...?"
     "Well the professor is obviously not the Ultima because the Ultima would have caused more destruction in the room for self defense so it's still alive."

     "Ohhhhh that actually makes sense." I said in a surprised voice.
     " Yea it does because I came up with it"
I rolled my eyes and asked "Do you think the Ultima should be treated like a monster?"
     "Honestly no the current one never did anything wrong and yet people still think that the Ultima is bad."
     "I thought I was the only one who thought that."
"No, a lot of people in school think that."
"Also why do you sit alone?"
"It's better for me... I can't hurt anyone close to me." He said in a hushed voice
"What do you mean?"
     "I'm the alpha in this school.... Even though I'm a first year..... my brother Julian was the alpha and Eva's my step sister so now I'm..the alpha... instead of her"
    "No way I'm friends with the alpha." I said smiling.
     "Indeed you are ma'am"

     I thought to myself is he tries to make me do something like he can with the other wolves I have to do it so I don't blow my cover as the Ultima ..... at I know I can still protect him if he needs it.

"Anyways what class do you have next?" I asked hoping we'd go to the same class.
"Physical education."
"SAME!!! What are you doing after school?"
He said "uhhh after school..... I have... oh physical therapy..."
"Because of the ears?"I asked cautiously
" yeah"
Ding ding ding
"We better get going to PE." He said.
I said "Race you" and started running down the hall.
