After school we decided to always meet at the tree right outside of the school to walk each other home.
We started walking from the tree. When he asked-
"Ummm..... do you know Uhhhhhh how to get home....?"
"I think we just walk down this crosswalk then take 3 lefts then a right then cross the intersection then go left...then.... Uhhhhh..."
My voice trailed off and I just pulled out my phone for gps and he started laughing.
"What are you laughing about bluey? I at least knew some of the way. Wait who's house we going to today? Mine or yours?"
"bLuEY?!?!? huh?!?!??" He said sounding kind of offended.
"It was a joke... because your ear tips are blueee.... I'm sorry if I offended you." I said sarcastically.
"Ya ya I know i was just messing with you." He said smirking then after awhile said "We can go to your house today."
"I thought you'd say that so I'm already one step ahead of you." I said smiling and showing him my phone. He smiled and we were about to cross when a drunk driver sped across the road. If not for Zayn I would've been hit by the car which would have been horrible. Not because I would die because I wouldn't.... But because it would tell everyone that I am the Ultima because I wouldn't have died.
"Oh my gosh thank you you just saved my life..." I said genuinely thankful for him.
He smiled and said no problem. We walked back to my house with no other trouble but I was still uneasy about what we saw in the room. He also seemed to fell that way because he asked "Do you know how to find out who the Ultima is...? If we know who it is we can protect them, whoever it is."
"I have no clue who it could be..."
Obviously I was lying because I knew who it was....me. But I couldn't tell him. I couldn't take any chances especially after I saw that someone is trying to kill me. But it killed me not being able to tell him.
"If you knew who it was you would tell me right?"
"Yea... why do you ask?" Now a little bit more aware of what he was saying and his tone.
"Because if you know and somehow you get hurt i can still protect the Ultima."
"Just a few more minutes then we're at my house. Or as I like to call it jail." I said laughing.
He smiled and dropped me off at the front steps. He started walking back but turned around and waved goodbye.
"See you tomorrow!!!!" He shouted to make sure I could hear.
"Byeeeee!!!!" I shouted back right before my mom opened the door.
My mom pulled me into the house and immediately asked who that guy was and if I had told him I'm the Ultima.
"No mom also he's Eva's younger brother Zayn so you don't have to worry about him." I said walking up to my room to do my homework.
