You returned to Lisa's side and handed her a drink.
"Here, my love."
"Thanks, darling." She smiled and took a sip of it before pulling you into her arms to hold you close.
You're at a party tonight that a mutual friend of yours is throwing.
You didn't want to come if you're being honest.
But Lisa has been working so hard lately and she just wanted a night to let her hair down a little, so you decided to tag along because you know just how much she wanted you to.
Not much is going on right now other than people in the room dancing along to the music blasting through the speakers.
But you didn't like the song and you'd much rather just stay here with Lisa and sip on your drink rather than go out and dance with random strangers.
"I love you." You told Lisa and watched her smile as she turned her head to look at you.
"I love you too, baby." She said and leaned in to kiss your lips, only for someone to interrupt.
They cleared their throat, catching your and Lisa's attention.
You both turned and you rolled your eyes at who was standing there.
A friend of the friend who invited you and Lisa here was standing there.
You can't stand her at all because she has a huge thing for your girlfriend.
She's openly admitted it.
Despite you and Lisa being in a happy, healthy, and long-term relationship, this girl has always wanted to take any opportunity to try and take Lisa for herself.
Of course, Lisa is loyal to you.
She only loves you and she doesn't see this girl as anything more than just a friend, but even that is a bit of a stretch to say because if anyone considers them to be friends, it'd be her more than Lisa.
"Hey," Lisa said as she forced a smile.
"Hi! I thought I saw you. I had no idea you'd be here tonight. God, every time I see you, you just get even more beautiful." She complimented your girlfriend.
"Thanks," Lisa said, looking and feeling a little uncomfortable.
"I just had to come say hi to you and tell you how much I missed you."
You raised your eyebrows, wondering how she could miss someone who she doesn't know that well and has hardly said more than just a few words to.
"Yeah, it's nice to see you," Lisa said as she rubbed your back.
She could tell you were getting jealous.
Your jaw was starting to clench and you had that look in your eyes as you shot the girl daggers.
"Can I have your number?"Lisa was taken aback by that.
"What? Why?" Lisa asked in confusion.
"Because I like you, obviously. We should get a drink or maybe hook up sometime."
Lisa didn't get the chance to reply before you tossed your drink on the girl and stormed off in anger.
"Bitch!" She yelled as Lisa ran after you.
"Y/N, wait up!" Lisa called out as she chased after you.
You stormed out of the house and outside, ignoring everyone looking at you and Lisa.
"Stop," Lisa said as she caught up to you.
She grabbed your wrist gently and spun you around.
"What's wrong?"
"What's wrong? Lisa, that annoying chick just asked you for your number even though she knows you're with me. I was standing right there!"
Lisa stepped closer to you, gently brushing her fingers across your cheek.
"She's always such a pain! She knows we're together. Why does she keep flirting with you? Why can't she take a damn hint? Asking to hook up with you or take you out for a drink is so rude. God, I just hate her!"
Seeing that you were so angry and overwhelmed, Lisa leaned in and kissed your lips softly to try and get you to calm down.
"Are you trying to shut me up?" You asked.
"Maybe." She teased.
"That's a very nice way of doing that."
She giggled.
"Baby, I don't want to fight with you. Not just because I don't want to cause a scene here but also because she's just not worth it."
"Why don't you ever speak up? Tell her that you're not interested."
"I have. Several times. As you said, she just can't take a hint." She said. "She's exhausting and annoying. Not to mention, delusional if she thinks I'd ever leave you, the love of my life, for her."
You smiled a little and leaned into her touch as she caressed your cheek.
"You have to understand that I'm all yours, okay? There will never be anyone else for me. People can flirt with me all they want but my heart belongs to you and I'm not going anywhere."
"I just hate her so much. Why is she like that? Why does she think she'll ever get with you?"
"Because she's just not normal," Lisa replied, making you chuckle. "I'm serious, baby. You heard those things she said. Who says that? Especially to someone in a relationship? That's just weird."
"Well, she is very strange. You're right about that."
"Look, baby, you have no reason to be jealous. You should also never be jealous of her because trust me, she has no chance with me. I'm already taken by the most beautiful girl in the world."
She said, making your heart flutter.
"You're going to be my wife someday. You're the one I'm going to be with forever. So let everything she says go in one ear and out the other. Let's not fight or be jealous, okay?"
"Okay." You agreed. "I love you."
"I love you more." She smiled before kissing you.
"Come on, let's just get out of here. We'll go home and cuddle, okay?"
"Okay." You said and took her hand before making your way to the car, happy to leave the party and everything else behind so you could be with just your girl.
