Heeseung fidgeted with the menu, his mind racing with thoughts of how to approach the delicate conversation.

Min-Joo's innocent smile added to his internal struggle. As she asked about the order, he tried to mask his nervousness, shaking his head and passing her the menu.

The ambiance of the restaurant couldn't conceal the tension. Heeseung's gaze wandered, but Min-Joo's voice brought him back.

"Hi... umm... Did you order already?" she inquired, breaking through his contemplation.

Heeseung, catching himself, managed a faint smile and confessed, "No, I haven't." He handed her the menu, his eyes avoiding hers momentarily.

The weight of the impending revelation hung in the air as they navigated the menu, both seemingly oblivious to the storm brewing beneath the surface.

"Heeseung, umm, I was planning to have a beach party next week. Would you like to come?" Min-Joo asked sweetly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Yet, next week marked your anniversary.

"When? Next week?" Heeseung inquired, trying to find the right words. "Oh, on June 4th. Are you available that time?" she questioned, searching for his response.

"On June 3 to 6, we'll be having an anniversary slash family reunion on a yacht," Heeseung recalled his dad's message from last night. He fell silent, contemplating how to navigate this delicate situation.

"Oh, looks like you had a plan that day," she remarked, disappointment flickering across her face. Heeseung was about to respond when someone called him, interrupting the impending conversation.

" Heeseung? "

Heeseung turned around, spotting Aunty Glenn, his mom's best friend. Panic set in; she'd surely see us.

He bowed, attempting to conceal his nervousness.

"Heeseung! It's been a while! How are you, dear? And your mom?" Aunty Glenn inquired with a warm smile.

"Oh, umm, we're doing fine. She's in New York right now," he replied, forcing a smile. Aunty Glenn then shifted her gaze towards Heeseung and Min-Joo, signaling trouble. Oh no

With a mischievous grin, she exclaimed loudly, "So, how are you and Y/n? The last time I saw both of you was at your wedding!" Panic surged within him.

Aunt Glenn turned to Min-Joo, who looked stunned, and she scoffed quietly.

"Oh, umm, we're doing great," Heeseung replied awkwardly, laughter laced with discomfort. The unexpected revelation hung in the air, creating an atmosphere more uneasy than Heeseung could have imagined.

"Well, that's good. I've known from the start you'll be a 'good husband'..." Aunte Glenn giggled, her teasing tone filling the air.

Heeseung awkwardly laughed, attempting to navigate the unexpected situation. She continued, "I hope your Mom will be a Grandma soon."

Heeseung managed another uneasy laugh while Aunty Glenn turned her attention to Min-Joo. "And who are you, dear?" she inquired.

Min-Joo gracefully bowed, responding, "I'm Min-Joo... His... 'friend,' ma'am. We just had a reunion." She smiled, and Aunty Glenn reciprocated.

"I see. Well, I'm sorry to disturb the both of you. It's just that I couldn't help myself but to greet Heeseung as soon as I saw him. He's like a son to me too," Aunty Glenn explained. Mia offered a polite smile.

"Goodbye, dear... Enjoy your 'reunion'!" Aunty Glenn waved as she bid them farewell. They both bowed, watching her leave, and then returned to their chairs, the atmosphere still tinged with the lingering traces of an unexpected encounter.
