Ruth, Robert, Chandler, Bindi, and Terri had been discussing a lot of plans and ideas.  Robert and Ruth agreed that, since it would take quite a few days to plan their wedding anyway, Robert would take off work from the zoo so that they could plan their wedding together.  Ruth asked Robert, "Would you mind running up to grab my phone? I need to call and tell my family."  Robert smiled and nodded, before running up the stairs to grab Ruth's phone.  He picked it up off the nightstand, turned, and walked out of the room.  He ran back down the stairs, sat next to Ruth, and handed her the phone.  She thanked him and then looked at her phone.  She saw multiple missed calls from her mother.  She excused herself from the living room and went out on the front porch.  She called her mother back.  When her mother saw Ruth was calling, she answered immediately and started yelling at Ruth.  "Where were you?! I called you fifteen times, young lady!! Do you have any idea how worried I was?! I thought you were in trouble or something!!"  Ruth stayed silent, took a deep breath in and let it out slowly.  Her mother was continuing to yell at her over the phone.  Ruth kept listening to her mother rant on and on about how she wasn't responsible enough to be away from home, when Ruth finally snapped.  She finally yelled back at her mother.  "Mom, Shut Up!! I've had enough of you always putting me down and saying how I'm not responsible enough to be on my own!!"  Ruth paused while she was talking, then she continued, "Just so you know, I'm not coming home. I'm staying here in Australia for good. I already canceled my flight home. And by the way, I called to tell you that I'm getting married."  Ruth's mother was silent as she heard Ruth end the call.  Her mother sat in the family's living room, silently crying to herself when Ruth's father walked in.  "Honey, what's wrong?"  Her mother replied, "Ruth's not coming home. She's staying in Australia and she's getting married."  Her father wasn't surprised since he knew Ruth was (in his mind) a rebel.  Her parents decided to disown their own daughter and to never speak to her again.  Ruth stayed standing on the porch trying to calm down her anger.  Robert saw her face for a brief moment through the window in the living room and knew that she wasn't happy.  He walked out on the porch, walked up behind her, put his arms around her, and hugged her from behind.  She leaned into his warm embrace.  She calmed down much quicker with him hugging her.  She then told him everything that her mother had said and everything she told her mother.  Robert wasn't upset, but he was sad that he wouldn't get to meet Ruth's family.  "I'm sorry. I know you wanted them to be happy for us."  Ruth stayed silent while Robert finished speaking.  "Ya know, I wouldn't have wanted them to take ya away from me, but they are your parents and you should probably apologize."  Ruth agreed, but when she tried to call her mother back, she discovered that she had been blocked.  She was very upset that her parents blocked her, but she wasn't going back to Ohio now.  She would be happy with Robert in Australia.  They both went back inside the Irwin home.  The day seemed to fly by quickly with everyone helping to get ideas and plans in order for the wedding.  Before long it was time for supper and then not long after, it was time for bed.  Bindi, Chandler, Grace, and Terri went to their rooms and went to bed.  Robert went with Ruth into her room so they could talk for a little longer.  They talked till two in the morning before Robert snuck back into his Room and went to sleep.  Ruth was very sad about what had happened with her mother, but she was looking forward to her new life with Robert.
