----------------------------------------------------------
After a long, long, seemingly endless wait.
Killian is finally arriving in Seraphim. After needing to see Alira for far too long.
But something, something isn't right.
It seems off.
Something has begun.
----------------------------------------------------------Killian's carriage arrived at the castle at the agreed upon time. He stepped out and looked around, but Alira wasn't there.
She always meets him at the gates, always, but she's not there. She should be there.
Where in the realms was she?He decided to search, luckily, being a close friend of the family, not a single place is off limits to him. So he looked.
She wasn't in her room, the library, the astronomy tower, or even the gardens. She was nowhere to be seen. He even asked her older siblings, Alexander (21), Amelia (20), and Azaera (19). But none of them knew where she has run off to, atleast thats what they said. It looked like they knew something. But he was in no place to pry. Something is being hidden from him. And he's intent to find out what.
Killian grew worried, he had every right to be. He waited and waited, like Alira would never return.
His mind was plagued with thoughts of what would've happened. What if she was injured? or captured? or even worse, killed. He waited.
He waited and waited and waited.
Nothing.Alira still hadn't returned. He got sick of waiting and he went out to search the castle again. He found Alira at the castle entrace with some,
guy?
He definetly isn't royalty. He bears no insignia.
Alira has spend the entire day, the entire evening,
with some guy.
He leans in and kisses Alira before walking away, leaving Alira there with a little smile. She turns to walk in to the castle and sees Killian there.Hes stunned. A mix of frustration, confusion, misery, and hatred.
"Killian- Are you alright?" She asks, suprised to see him.
"Who is that." Killian asked coldly, his voice full of malice, and spite.
"He's nobody special-"
"He kissed you, Princess. Hes obviously someone." Killian's fists clench, he can't believe it. She ditched him for some guy. Someone who he doesn't know. Someone random.
Someone who doesn't deserve her."Listen- Killian it was just a date-" Alira says, trying to reason with him. "It just went on for a lot longer then i thought it would- i got sidetracked i'm so sorry-"
"You left me. You left me here, worried sick, about you. All for Some guy?! Just some date?!"
Killian was fuming. He felt hurt. Betrayed.
Alone."It was arranged by my parents- it's not like i chose it-! It's just something i had to do!" She pleaded, wanting him to just listen.
"Goodnight Alira."
Alira. He called her by her name. Not 'Princess', Not 'Darling', Alira. Just Alira.
Killian stormed off. Off to his room, slamming the door behind him as he sat down on his bed and broke out into tears.
'Was i just not enough?' He thought to himself, thoughts like that plaguing his mind completely. He hated it. It was the absolute worst. Just some random guy got to kiss her.
