As Jooyeon hoisted up the garage door, the early sunlight stung his eyes. With a sigh, he drummed his fingers against his side, letting the light slowly creep in. Picking up his guitar, he knew it was too early to connect it to the stereo. The garage, adorned with vinyl records, posters, and an array of instruments, made for a cozy and musical haven.

Fiddling with the strings using a guitar pick he had stashed in his hair, Jooyeon paused, glancing at the notebook resting on the table. "Say what you want, 날 바라봐 난 무관심은 사양해," he hummed, recalling his lyrics. Lost in the music, he began piecing together the first part of a new melody.

Suddenly, his eyes flew open, surprised to find a boy standing by his garage door, looking awkward. "Uhh sorry, I just couldn't help but notice you playing," the boy said, breaking the silence. Jooyeon let his guitar rest to the side, offering a warm smile. "Ah, sorry, so rude of me not to introduce myself. I'm Jake," Jake Smiled. "So uhm, How long have you been playing the guitar for? You're great!" the boy said, trying to start a conversation.

Jooyeon looked puzzled for a moment before finally speaking up, "I've been playing for a few years now." Jake visibly sighed with relief, glad to get a response.

"Sure, sure," Jake mumbled, rocking back on his heels, while the sound of birds chirping filled the air. "I'm Jooyeon," Jooyeon introduced himself. Jake's face lit up with excitement, "Jooyeon, cool," he said, mentally facepalming at his own awkwardness. The brief exchange left them standing there for a moment, uncertain of what to say next.

"Well, I'll see you around, Jooyeon," Jake finally broke the silence, and Jooyeon nodded in acknowledgment as Jake walked away. Jooyeon attempted to resume playing his guitar, but before he could immerse himself back into the music, he heard thudding footsteps approaching.

"Can I join you?" Jake returned, catching Jooyeon off guard. "What?" Jooyeon responded, surprised by Jake's sudden return. Jake shook his head, "It's just that, I can um, play the piano, and I thought it would go well with your uhm, song."

Jooyeon paused, considering the offer before finally saying, "Okay, bring your piano." A bright smile spread across Jake's face as he nodded enthusiastically and quickly ran off to fetch his instrument.

Watching Jake's excitement, Jooyeon couldn't help but smile. He continued jotting down more lyrics and melodies in his notebook, the anticipation building for their impromptu musical collaboration.

Jake returned with his own instrument and set it down, frantically searching for a cable. Jooyeon noticed and offered it to him with a quiet "thanks." Clearing his throat, Jake suggested, "So, how about I play, and when you catch my drift, you can join in?" Jooyeon nodded in agreement, offering a smile as he handed over his notebook.

Starting with a gentle strum, Jooyeon began playing and singing, and Jake bopped his head along, thoroughly impressed with the music. It didn't take long for Jake to join in with his piano, their melodies intertwining beautifully. A glance passed between them, confirming that Jake's idea had been right—it sounded really good.

Feeling the music flowing through them, Jooyeon couldn't help but bop his head, his morning hair swinging with the rhythm. But they stopped abruptly when they reached the last unfinished line of the song. Jooyeon let the sound resonate before letting his guitar rest by his side, seemingly unsure about the unfinished piece.
