I jolt up in a cold sweat, tears running down my face as I feel panic fill me. I attempt to slow my breathing and listen to my surroundings to ensure I am safe the residue fear from my nightmare filling me. 

When I finally calm down I ask the Alexa what time it is only to find it is just after 1 am. I sigh and lean back in my bed knowing full well I won't get back to sleep easily. 

An idea springs to mind and I reach for my phone grabbing it an getting my mums number and leaving a voice message saying I flew to my soulmates and I would see them tomorrow evening. After I was done I go to the window and shift into a bird before taking off in the direction of the tower, letting my body take over. 

When I land on the roof I shift back into my human form and realize I have no way to get inside. 

my troubles are answered when I hear a door open followed by footsteps. "Angel?" I hear Tony ask and I quickly rush to him throwing my arms around his neck and burying my head into his chest as tears begin to flow. "Ssh, it's alright, I'm here." he says before picking me up, my legs wrapping around him instantly as he walks talking quietly as he heads to his room. 

"I'm sorry for waking you." I say when he sits down on his bed and pulls me away to lay down before laying next to me. I curl myself up into him feeling instant comfort and piece. 

"I was already awake and in the lab. angel, what are you doing here?" He asks me and I sigh. 

"Nightmare." Is my only response and he drops it instantly. "Can I stay here with you tonight?" I ask cautiously not wanting to disrupt his work. 

"You can stay with me whenever you want love. go to sleep, I'm not going anywhere." with those words I quickly drift off into a peaceful nightmare free sleep. 

I wake up before Tony the next morning and just stay where I am not wanting to move from my comfortable spot on his chest. Instead I rest my ear over his heart and listen to the sound of his heart combined with the light humming of his arc reactor. 

Its awhile yet before Tony wakes up with a slight groan. His arm goes around my waist and pulls me impossibly closer to him making me smile. "Morning." I whisper incase he isn't truly awake yet. 

"Morning angel." He says in a matching whisper as his hand begins to rub up and down my back making me purr which in turn causes Tony to chuckle. We stay like this for awhile until Jarvis informs us that Natasha and Wanda are wanting to leave soon to pick me up, not knowing I was already here. 

"Jarvis please tell them I am here and will be down in ten minutes." 

"No, don't go." Tony complains and wraps his arm even tighter around me causing me to chuckle. 

"I promised and I've got to get up and shower at some point." With that I push away and stand up, stretching after I do. 

"Can I join you." I hear Tony ask and I freeze before blood rushes through my body. 

"Sure." Is my chocked out reply causing Tony to chuckle before I feel his hands on my hips gently pushing me towards his bathroom. When the floor changes to tiles we stop and Tony's hands are moving pulling up my pajama top, his fingers skimming my lips as he goes. once the top is removed I feel him place a kiss to the back on my neck. 

A shiver runs through me but not because I am cold as I feel Tony begins to tug down my shorts as I gulp. "I can stop and let you shower alone if you want?" He asks having clearly noticed my nerves. 

"No it's okay." I respond and he kisses my thigh before continuing. When I am completely naked I feel him rise and step back. I can physically feel his eyes scanning me. 

"You're gorgeous angel, absolutely gorgeous." A rustling of clothes follows before the sound of the shower fills the room. "Look at us conserving water." I hear him says as he helps me into the shower causing me to giggle. "can I wash you?" He asks and I nod with a smile. 

Within seconds I feel a wet ( and most likely soapy) sponge at the back of my neck. Tony gently scrubs my back in circular motions before moving on to the rest of my body, paying special attention to the rest of my body. When he is done I snatch to off of him and do the same for him. when we are done we both wash our hair before getting out and I can very clearly tell Tony is all hot and bothered as am I. 

"I need clothes." I say after I have dried off before I feel something being placed in my hands. 

"Wear mine." Tony says smugly. 

"I can't I'm going out." I say with a huff. 

"So." At my silence he sighs. "I'll go grab some clothes from the main room, give me a minute." With that he walks away and I go back to his bed to wait for him. Within minutes I hear the door re-open as Tony returns. "Damn, you sure you have to go." I chuckle and stand up holding my hand out for the clothes that Tony quickly hands over. 

I don't bother to return to the bathroom to change and instead do it where I stand. Tony has gotten me some underwear and a bra that I find concerning how accurately he knew my size and a short cami dress that came just past my mid-thigh with a sweetheart neckline and thin straps. it also had a small section of lace around the abdomen. "Can you zip me up?" I ask as I turn around so my back is facing my mate. 

I feel him gently pull the zip up, his fingers skimming my back as he goes. "All done." 

"Thankyou." 

"Sit down." He says and I do as he says only to feel him carefully grab my left foot as he puts on a sock, following with my right before helping me into some shoes causing me to blush fiercely. "now you're all done." He says and I just sigh and walk out. 

Tony follows me to the elevator and them into the kitchen. "Morning." I hear several of my mates says as we walk in. I receive several kisses but no-one asks why I am here when I left last night much to my relief. Once I finish breakfast I say goodbye to everyone as Nat and Wanda are pulling me away to the elevator so that we can get our date started.
