PERSONALITY — red shoupe is a very sentimental, gentle, caring, and feeling individual. she values close and deep relationships with the people around her. she's loyal to those she loves, and would give up just about anything for her friends if she knew that they needed it. she acts as a therapist for her friends and family, and is easy to talk to.
she is extremely mature, responsible, and cautious. she's casually the one reminding the pogues the dangers of every situation, though most of the time they don't listen. red can be very insecure at times, and rather sensitive. she wants people to be better and to mean the words that come out of her mouth.
it takes a long time to get red to trust you, because she's had her trust broken many times before. she's a total softie deep down, and is kind to everyone no matter what side of the island they may live on, but is also a people pleaser.
EARLY LIFE — red was initially born in charleston to eleanor alden, who accidentally got herself pregnant by sleeping with victor shoupe. ellie couldn't take care of red, so she eventually agreed to let victor take care of her full time. red grew up a rich kid, never knowing who her mother was because of her fathers lies.
[ RED SHOUPE ONCE SAID... ]
"sometimes you can't see what's right in front of you when you need it most."
"it's easier to hurt someone who trusts you than to trust someone that hurt you."
"well, Kie, I really hope you enjoyed the 3:00 showing of the reason that I don't ever trust people. have a nice day."
"you we're in there. i needed my partner. I wasn't just gonna let a little bit of fire stop me from pulling you out of it."
