Our parents did let us stay together since we insisted on keeping the baby. I was so excited to start a family with my love!!!
But a few months into my pregnancy something very wrong happened. I stopped eating abnormally and my stomach wasn't getting any bigger. Dad took me to the doctor who confirmed that I had miscarried. 😢
"It's a good thing," Dad said. "Having a child with a family member can cause a lot of problems. Plus, you're way to young to have that kind of responsibility."
Me and John cried together all day. We were really sad. 😢
"Let's try again," John finally suggested. I agreed. We could still try to have a family!!
I returned home with a newfound positivity on life. But Dad was waiting for me in the driveway with a moving truck.
"Daddy?" I asked. "What's going on?"
"Get in." He said. "We're moving."
"But what about John???" I cried.
"Exactly! You'll never see him again!"
With that, Dad pulled me into the truck. As we sped away I felt half of me stay behind.
I would never be whole again. Never.
