"And put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite." - Proverbs 23:2

Blood.

That is all I want to drink Monday morning.

When I woke up with my alarm clock ringing right into my ear I felt so hungry. Like I wanna eat everything that says food, but I think blood is better. I don't believe in vampires but I think I'm turning into one. My tummy is rumbling and it hurts like hell, maybe this is the effect when you didn't eat five days in a row. I forcibly jump up from my bed opening the door and a smile crept up on my lips when I smelled something from the kitchen.

I'm found Emily frying some sausages and bacon while cooking pancakes at the same time. She just already started cooking but I cannot wait.

"Morning, Ara." She glanced at me.

"Morning."

"Good thing you're feeling better now. It's been five days since you're locked up in your room."

"I'm hungry." That's all I say.

I took a raw sausage from the plate beside her and I quickly bite it savoring its taste. Emily's jaw dropped.

"Ara, that's uncooked."

I didn't respond and I just chewed the raw sausage and opened the fridge scanning for something to eat.

I found an apple but it makes me throw up, I also found a raw pork inside a container and I just can't hold my happiness when I found blood on it. I just wanted to drink it.

"Arabella put that back I'm already cooking bacon. That's for dinner."

Emily said when she saw me while flipping the pancake. I rolled my eyes. I need
to drink this pork's blood now. My craving is killing me. She shouldn't see me drinking this, she might think that I'm getting weird which is true.

I watch Emily put the first cooked pancake on a plate and then flipped the bacon to the other side. I can't wait now, I just wanted to eat. This is oddly ridiculous because I don't eat that much when it's breakfast. I don't even get so hungry at this hour, before, an apple was okay for me.

I was about to hide the container and drink it inside the bathroom when we heard the doorbell rang. My smile grew wider when Emily volunteered to open it, she turned off the first stove but left the second open for the bacon and the sausage to cook.

When I waited her to get out of the kitchen, I hurriedly opened the container's lid, putting my mouth on its corner and quickly drank the raw pork's blood sipping it to its last drop. When I heard footsteps retreating back I put the container back inside the refrigerator closing it while I lick my lips tasting some gore left.

I don't know why, but I kinda like it.

Which is gross because I just freakin' drank a raw pork's blood.

I sat down on a chair taking the first pancake cooked, tearing it in half and the next thing I knew is that I am now chewing it. I ate almost 90% of the food that Emily cooked. I finished all the sixteen pancakes, twelve sausages and bacons which I cannot count.

Emily went back to the kitchen holding a brown envelope. She put it infront of me and said, "Someone sent you this, but there's no name to who it came from."
