"Arabella! You look so beautiful!" Granny Susan who's wearing a white scarf and a hat wrap me in her arms and kissed both of my pale cheeks. I giggled at her, I really missed this woman. She looks older since the last time I saw her on my parents' funeral.
"Thank you for coming Granny Susan." I smiled. She smells like lemongrass which made me remember the days when I was helping her out in her garden. She'd been a great friend to us, she treated us like family and I'm happy that I can treat her like my own grandma. Chace must've been very lucky to have her.
"Oh it's nothing, next time I will send you cookies if I have free time." She patted my cheek which makes me giggle. I remember that she always gives us butter cookies and bakes us cakes for our birthdays. I missed those times that we always invite her to our home. But I guess everything changes, even people changes.
I nod at her and then I found Chace staring at me, his gray eyes is always that mesmerizing. Like it's meant to hypnotize you. Attractiveness must really run in their blood because I've seen a photo of Granny Susan when she was young; she look so gorgeous. Chace' face looks like an angel, I wonder how many girls have fallen in love with him. I snap out of my thoughts and just gave him a small smile. "Hey."
"Hello Arabella." He said with a husky voice.
He leaned in to me and I gasped when he wrapped both of his strong arms around me. I was surprised when he embraced me. That was very nice of him. He smells so good and it's so addicting. I just awkwardly tapped his back. I mentally groan when he broke the hug so I just smiled. I've never thought he'd hug me like that. I guess Granny Susan told him to do so. But it was really awkward since he didn't know that I live here and I know his grandma. I saw Emily staring at us so I broke the silence.
"Emily, he is actually my classmate." I tell her, her mouth formed an O and smirked.
"Wow, small world." Emily chuckles. Chase nodded, smirking.
"I am Ara's big sister. I handle my parents' business which is a tailoring shop located downtown. If you want your clothes to be fixed or if you want to buy a suit for your prom you can order from us. It's quite far but if you want you can tell Ara so I'll be the one to get it for you." Emily said, I know she just want to get customers but now isn't the time. I mentally rolled my eyes.
Chace is now trying not to laugh but he just nod his head, ''Uh, yeah sure. That would be nice. I was really planning to buy a suit for prom so I think I'll order from you."
I didn't realize I'm now smiling at him, Emily clapped her hands "Thank you, Chace." Our conversation has been cut when Auntie Beth— my talkative aunt who's also Stella's mother shrieks when she saw Granny Susan. She's now holding a glass of red wine.
"Granny Susan! It's nice to see you again!" She greeted Granny and they started to chat, while Emily led Chase to the sofa where she also introduced him to the others. Good thing our living room is quite big so everyone can fit, and we have three sofas in each sides. After introducing them to everyone, Stella and Seb have returned from the kitchen. Stell is holding a plate full of biscuits. I guess both of them knew each other now because they're already chatting. They both sat down on a sofa across our neighbors, but Seb looks uncomfortable.
I left Emily in there while our neighbors and relatives are chatting. I walked to the kitchen to ready the foods later after the prayer. When I was washing the dishes Stella had left in the sink, I saw Seb entered the kitchen holding a plate.
