III

     After a week, Jake was adjusting to the new job, he was busy to say the least. The only good part was that it gave him no time to think about his breakup. He still wanted to talk to Nuri though, he wanted her side and if he still saw the chance. He would take it. He walked out of his class and headed to his locker, "It's such a cute story." He'd know that voice anywhere, and he turned to face Nuri. She met his eyes, and turned back to Aera, "I'll see you in a bit." And watched her turn to leave as Jake stood where Aera just was. Both in silence, neither knowing how to start.

"How's your new job?" Jake slightly smiled. "Keeps me busy, its amazing." She saw how happy and excited his job made him, making her decision more easier. "How's the writing?" She tried to smile but couldn't force it, she just hoped he didn't notice it. "Uh good, I got a new story lately." Jake watched her reactions, she was sad. She couldn't even smile or meet his gaze. She was just as heart broken as he was. Both of them truly had no idea how they had gotten here, they had such big plans together. Jake was ready to work and provide for her so she could keep being a writer, they had talked about moving in together and someday get married. Now where did that take them?

"Nuri listen." She tried to meet his gaze, still unsure. "I don't know why you broke up with me" Her tears threatened to burst but she rolled her eyes in hopes that they would leave her alone. "It's cool, but I still love you, and if I'm right here?" She watched as he stepped closer to her. "I still have a chance. " She stood still, not wanting to give him a clear answer. "I have to go, see you Nuri." She watched as he walked away before sighing, what was she going to do.

Jake turned around and left Nuri standing there, and it took everything in him not to turn back to look at her reaction, he knew he was right. And that's all he cared about. He made his way to the cafeteria and found his friends, pulling the chair out and joining them. "Not hungry big bro?" Jake shook his head at Ari. "Not much" she nodded at him, before turning back to her own boyfriend. Jake seemed out of it, all in his mind was the conversation he had with Nuri, he was trying to analyze her reactions but it was no use, he couldn't figure it out. "Aera? Ari? Jia?" The three turned to him. "When a girl goes silent what does it mean?"

The three of them looked at each other than at him. "Depends." He sighed and leaned forward. "On what?" He wanted advice and lucky for him he had three very different girls in front of him. "Why don't your give us a scenario." He swallowed before talking, he wanted to be discrete. " S boy talks about his feelings to the girl he likes and she rolled her eyes and stood still." He was glad it sounded crazy. "If she rolled her eyes it was because of two things," he listened attentively. "She doesn't want to be there or two if you got a glimpse of her eyes and there were tears she was doing it to prevent herself from crying."

"and if she stood still after confessing?" The girls laughed, confusing all the boys. "She's surprised you had the guts and that you were straightforward." He blinked. "So is that good?" They nodded. "Yeah because you made her fantasy come true." He thanked them before excusing himself, he had gotten his answer. The rest of them looked at each other, "that was wierd huh." They laughed at Jay. "He was talking about Nuri." He looked at them shocked. "How did you-." They all sighed. "Because Jake is the type to come and ask for not only advice but love advice from these three."

Jake didn't know where he was going when he left the cafeteria, so he eventually made his way back and joining his friends again. And he walked into a conversation on a party? Sunghoon and Aera wanted to host a get together since the year was almost over. "Who are you inviting?" "Uhhh I mean anyone we know, just so we don't get it out of control." He listened as they planned it out, it was interesting and certainly his chance to win Nuri back.

 Hi Hi!

I just realized that the story seems very short but if it needs editing then I'll change it but anyways. So Sunghoon and Aera are throwing a party!  And Jake talked to Nuri!!  Also Jake getting ahead in his career, we love a smart king. Fine I'll shut up now.
