The things a man can do

I trusted in you, or rather - - the one I thought you were

Now, standing here 

On the other side of paradise

I can see

I trusted in the idea

More than the man

But the more I get to know you

the more I realize 

an idea can't love you

can't keep you warm

can't teach you to forgive

and forget

and keep me from becoming my mother

but a man can.
