CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Kim: The only reason she didn't cheat was because you found out early enough. We both know the reason she is with Jayden is because of what he has. You might want to turn a blind eye to that but I won't! I would see you at Nicolas' place

She said to him and she got up from her bed

Barry: I am not done talking to you!
Kim: I am done talking about this so except you have something else to say to me then we can move on with our lives
Barry: you know what, do what you want! I am tired of all your attitudes

He said as he walked out of the room. She sighed and she headed to her bathroom to get ready. When she was done, she went down for breakfast and she saw her brother there. He ignored her and she scoffed. She had no plans of talking to him either. She had bigger things to worry about than a boy acting up. When she was done with her breakfast, she headed to her room to get somethings when the phone rang again. Her heart skipped and she picked it up

Garrett: Kimberly. You are running out of time
Kim:First things first, I don't trust you so I am not going to jump at every word you say. I need you to know that if I am going to do this, I need am doing it on my own terms, not yours!
Garret: all I said was that you are running out of time. Your mom is planning on leaving the country very soon and you would never get to see her again
Kim: I can afford a plane ticket if that is what you mean
Garrett: it is nor about what you can afford and what you can't afford. It is about how well she can hide and trust me when I say that she can stay hidden for as long as she wants to
Kim: if she wanted to stay hidden, she wouldn't be here right now. She wouldn't be in the states
Garrett: your mom has yoga classes for two in the afternoon. If you want answers, then I think you have to attend yoga

He said to Kim and the line went dead. She looked at the phone and tossed it into her bag. She picked up her keys and looked out the window. She saw that Barry's car was gone. He had gone to Nick's place. She rolled her eyes and sighed. She rubbed her forehead. She was starting to get stressed. She was going it again. She was making the same mistake. She was trying to solve it all by herself again and that was a bad idea but what choice was she left with? Her brother was being unapproachable and Barry was being an ass hole just because she wasn't willing to accept her brother's girlfriend. She headed down to the living room and picked up her car keys

Jayden: where the hell are you going?
Kim: Oh, you mean You can see me now? Interesting
Jayden: I asked a question!
Kim: I am going to Nick's house. I still don't see how it is any of your business!
Jayden: I am your elder brother
Kim: act like one and get the respect you deserve

She said as she walked out of the house, slamming the door behind her. She decided to take a stroll down to Nick's house since it wasn't so far off. When she got there, she rang the doorbell and someone came out to open the door for her. It was Barry

Barry: I was starting to think that you wouldn't show up
Kim: and stand a chance to see Bryant mad? I don't think so
Barry: Nick has been upset all day though. The only reason I stayed here is because Dani was here. She is still here
Kim: Where is Nick

She asked as she walked into his house

Barry: he is in his room. He wouldn't come out to see anybody
Hailey: Kimberly!!!

She turned around and she lifted her up from her feet.

Kim: hey baby, how are you? Why is Nicholas so upset?

Kim said to her and she giggled. Barry collected her from Kimberly and Kim looked at him.

Kim: is it that bad?
Barry: yeah, it is.
Kim: Did someone say something to him? I don't understand why he would be this angry, angry enough to stay in his own in his own house when you are around. Has anybody called Ryan yet?
Barry: his number has not been going through. He said something about hanging out with Kat today. I really didn't want to ruin their date or anything so I just waited until you got here.

Kim looked at him and nodded. She sighed and headed up to his room. She knocked gently but got no response so she opened the door and went in. She met him in his bed, his headphones on his ears and his eyes closed. He was shutting the world out as usual. She walked up to him and sat on his bed. His eyes opened immediately. He removed his headphones and he looked up at her.

Nick: I didn't hear you come in. I didn't know you were coming here.
Kim: well, I promised Bryant that I would be here today. Besides, I wanted to see you. Barry said you were upset. Want to tell me what is going on with you?
Nick: I just, I don't know how to put it or what to say that would make sense. You know what, don't worry about it. It is nothing I can't handle. How are you? You look like you didn't sleep so well last night.
Kim: you see doing it again
Nick: doing what?
Kim: changing the topic so you don't have to talk about what is really going on with you. You know you can always talk to me right?

She said to him.
