ILLUSIONS II

CHAPTER FOUR

Yolanda: girls! We have a state competition on our hands. We have to be united. Whatever past issues you had with him each other has to be out aside for this. We can't go there divided!
Carol: can you dismiss us already because she has a point. I would rather stick needles in my eyes and try to be her friend
Me: ditto

Yolanda sighed. I knew we were stressing her but Carol was nothing but a rude and disrespectful person. I could add mannerless to the whole mix and it wouldn't still quantify how bad her attitude was. Yolanda dismissed the girls and Yolanda and I started our final practice. I noticed she pushed me harder than she practiced and I turned to ask her why she wasn't practicing

Me: feels like I'm the only one doing all the work.
Yolanda: that is because you are. The state competition allows the entire crew yo compete till the semi finals where three of the members of each crew are selected
Me: and the finals?
Yolanda: just one of us can go on
Me: and that is definitely you right?
Yolanda: c'mon, we both know I'm no match for Tracy
Me: and what? You think I am?

I asked, utterly confused

Yolanda: c'mon Kim. If anybody can pull it up, it's you. I'm rooting for you
Me: don't! I can't compete against Tracy. She is so good at this and I'm barely getting the stunts. Don't put me up to this
Yolanda: I already did, Kim. I have to go. My boyfriend's waiting. I think rehearsals would double next week so get ready. Principal Dalton said we would be allowed to practice from nine in the morning till lunch time
Me: that is eleven in the morning
Yolanda: yeah. I'll see you on Monday then, yeah?
Me: no! This is so unfair of you!
Yolanda: Kim, stop whining about it. I believe in you, you should believe in yourself
Me: is that your selling point? Because it is not work right now! It is not working at all
Yolanda: I'll see you around Kim. You can do it

She said as she walked picked up her pom poms and walked out. Kim laid on the grass, closing her eyes and think about her defeat when a shadow shielded her from the sun. She opened her eyes and looked up. It was Kat

Kat: I'm guessing that didn't go so well.

She said

Me: what do you mean by that didn't go so well? Did you know about this?

I asked her. Kat was a terrible liar. You could literally tell that she was lying

Kat: okay, maybe I did but it wasn't in my position to tell you. We all decided that it was best that Yolanda told you instead
Me: Kat!!!!
Kat: I'm sorry!! I just didn't have a say in this and she is right. You do have the advantage. You are the best stunts person we've got, not even guys come close. I think you can do this too
Me: did she put you up to the speech too?

I asked

Kat: maybe but she is right either ways
Me: whatever. I need to get something to eat. I would see you at the theater hall
Kat: are you sure you don't want me to come with?
Me: I'm fine. At least my smoothie won't lie to me

I said, hoping she got the point and understood that I was upset and I was t interested in the whole set up

Kat: that was mean of you, Kim
Me: yeah. I'll see you in the hall

I said as I walked out

Kat's POV

She walked on. I rolled my eyes and headed for the hall. We always sat together and always reserved a seat for each other. We sat in the same spot every Friday and it was fun. I got there and Nick looked at me

Nick: where's Kim?
Me: I don't know. She said something about getting lunch and she would meet us up
Ryan: are you okay?
Me: yeah, just had this mini argument with Kim. Yolanda told her already and she is not taking it so well
Nick: do you want me to talk to her?
Me: nah, she would come around

Those words were barely out of my mouth when someone walked up and sat beside Nick. I looked up, Carol. I scoffed

Me: that seat is taken
Carol: I don't see anybody on it
Kim: look behind you

She said

Carol: find somewhere else to sit.in not getting up from here
Kim: I just had my mood ruined. Can you not make things more difficult for me?
Carol: I'm not getting up still

Kim handed Daniella her smoothie before dragging Carol by the hair

Nick: hey babe!

He said, removing Carol's hair from her hand. Carol walked out and ran off. She turned to Nick

Kim: what the hell is your problem?
Nick: my problem? You don't do that to people. You could have been polite about it and gotten her to get up, not yanking her by the hair!
Kim: I was polite! You're unbelievable! Why the hell are you taking her side?
Nick: it is nor about sides! It is about what's right!
Kim: Maybe she can have the seat then

Nicholas' POV

She said as she picked up her bags and walked out. Nick groaned. Why was she so stubborn?! I was just trying to reason with her. I decided to let it be. I wasn't going to talk to her, not yet. After the theater class, I pulled out my phone as I walked to the entrance of the hall when I  saw her standing there, talking to Zayn. I felt my heart explode. Why was she talking to him? I walked up to them

Me: I thought I told you to stay away from her? What the hell is your problem?
Kim: can you not do this? Don't even do this!

She said in his defense
