Nicholas: I don’t know what we are going to find there but when we do eventually get there, if she is indeed your mom, I want you to understand that she has her reasons.
Barry: her reasons? She abandoned us. What reason can she possibly have for doing that?
Nicholas: that is her question to answer. I don’t know how and why she would do any of this but I am promising you that there is a reasonable explanation to all of this. She would have answers to all of our questions but we need to hear her out first.
Kimberly: just drive. When I see her, she would be the one doing the talking, not you.Kim said, her eyes fixed on the road and Nick sighed. He knew that there was no way any of this was going to end well. There was no possible way it was going to end well. There was no reasonable explanation to why she did what she did, the trauma she put all of them through. It wasn’t making any sense. Nick knew that most of their questions were not going to be answered and he wasn’t sure that Kim could handle that. They got to the airport and Kim got down from the car. The phone in her hand rang.
Kimberly: yeah?
Garrett: your mom just landed. She would be coming through the door that is directly behind you. I would advise that you wait outside the airport for her or maybe follow her car. This is the only way you can possibly find out the truth.
Kimberly: if she is not my mom, I promise you that I will find you and I will end you.
Garrett: I would look up to that but until you can get all the answers to your questions, I would advise that you hold off all the threats until then. The call ended and she looked at the phone.
Nicholas: was that him?
Kimberly: yeah, he is of the opinion that we should wait for her outside, follow her car and then find out why she is in the states.
Nicholas: I do not trust this guy. We don’t even know for sure if he is talking about your mom. Let us head back home.
Barry: I didn’t come this far to go back home. He had pictures of her. He didn’t just create that. Something doesn’t add up in all of this. Something doesn’t make sense. I need to know if he is telling the truth and until we know that, it is advisable that we explore all the options.
Nicholas: and then what happens? What happens if she is the one? What happens when you do see her and she is the one? What would you do then? What happens then?
Kimberly: when we get to that bridge, we would cross it. Until then, the both of you can get back into the car and wait there. I need to do this on my own.She said as she headed back into the car and they followed her. She got in and she sat there. She waited until she finally saw her, walking out of the airport and then entering a SUV. She looked at her and she froze. That was her mom! She was her mom! Her mom was alive. There was no possible way that her mom was in the states. What was she doing in the states? What was she doing alive? She had to many questions. She didn’t know where to start.
Nicholas: do you want me to follow her?
Kimberly: that shouldn’t even be a questionNicholas started the car and followed the SUV closely. It stopped and she got down. Kim opened the door to follow her and she stopped midway.
Kimberly: don’t follow me. I am getting the answers on my own. I need the both of you here. If she comes out without me, one of you should come for me, one of you should go after her.
Barry: I wouldn’t let you go in alone. You don’t even know who that person is.
Kimberly: she is my mom! But I don’t know what she is doing here. I need answers but she can be involved with some dangerous people. I am not going to sacrifice any of you for the answers that I need so I need the both of you to trust me enough and stay here. Any other questions or contributions?
Nicholas: I do not agree with this. Barry is right. You just said it yourself, we don’t know who we are dealing with. I don’t think you should go in there on your own
Kimberly: my mind is made up.
Barry: alright, you have fifteen minutes, after that, I am coming right after you. Turn on your location and stay safe in there. I am not losing you.
Kimberly: I would be okay. You don’t have to worry about me.
Barry: that is my choice to make. She looked at him and nodded at him. Closing the door, she pulled up her hood and headed into the building. She walked through the doors and stopped at one because of the noise that came from in there. The argument was really loud and surprisingly, it wasn’t in English. It was in Spanish and she knew this because she understood. She could hear someone yelling at her mom for not getting an assignment done properly. He kept complaining that she was sloppy and she responded, telling him that she did it the best way she could and the environment had demanded an adjustment in the way she did things. Kimberly couldn’t understand why her mom even knew how to speak Spanish this fluently. She waited for the noise to die down when her phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out and she looked at it.
Nicholas: where are you? Someone just arrived and you might need to get out of there now. Barry thinks they are spies. You should get out of there now.
