———————————————————————————
Giyuu Tomioka, the water pillar, was sitting in his estate. He had no missions for the day, and was taking a break, when suddenly, a crow came up to his window. "Caw Caw! Shinobu Kocho requests your presence at the butterfly mansion! Caw Caw!" Said Shinobu Kochos, the insect hashiras, crow. "All right...I'll be Right There." Giyuu replied, heading for the butterfly mansion. Once he arrived, he found that Kanao, Aoi, and the rest of the butterfly girls were no where to be seen. "Kocho...? You needed me?" Giyuu asked into an empty hall. "Yes Tomioka-san! Im in my office!" Came a voice from down the hallway. Giyuu found Shinobus office and entered inside it. "Kocho...what did you need me for?" Giyuu asked. "Well Tomioka-san, me and the butterfly girls are going on a day trip to collect some medicinal herbs in the far north of Japan, so I need someone to watch over the butterfly mansion and take care of any patients coming through just for today. Can you do that for me?" Shinobu asked, packing a small bag with some empty jars. "...Hm. I don't know how to treat patients as well as you...but I will try." Giyuu replied. "Thank you Tomioka-san, but I told the master about my trip and he said that he will try not to send as many people on missions today since I will be absent, so you shouldn't have to worry too much. I've also left some notes about medicine should you need it." Shinobu replied, heading to the door of her office. "Thank you again Tomioka-San, now I'll be off!" Shinobu exited the room and left the butterfly mansion. Giyuu then went to the main patient room and waited for some patients. Around a couple of hours later, when there had been no new patients for a while, Giyuu was finishing bandaging up a low ranking demon slayer when suddenly Sanemi opened the door to the main patient room covered in wounds. "Tomioka?! What the hell are you doing here. Where's Kocho?" Sanemi Said in his usual rash attitude. "Kocho isn't here. She entrusted me to take care of the patients." Giyuu said, leaving the lower rankers bedside and Walking over to Sanemi. "Let me help you. You're hurt." Giyuu grabbed a wheelchair from behind Sanemi and practically had to shove him into the seat. "I don't need your help!" Sanemi said, crossing his arms. "Don't care." Giyuu replied, pushing the wheelchair to a separate room with a bath. "Huh? Whats this for?!" Sanemi asked, clearly a little frustrated. "It's a bath. You need to be cleaned." Giyuu replied. "Now take off your clothes and get in. I'll run some water." Giyuu walked over to the bath and turned on a faucet. Sanemi hesitantly began to remove his clothes, starting with his shirt, and got into the bath. Giyuu was looking Away, of course. When Sanemi got settled in, Giyuu carefully washed him over with soap and water, making sure to clean off blood and dirt from Sanemi. After that was done, Giyuu handed Sanemi an outfit and looked away so Sanemi could change. He then led Sanemi back into the wheelchair and wheeled him into a small room with a singular bed. Sanemi scoffed, not wanting to admit that he really felt butterflies in his stomach. "Let me help you onto the bed." Giyuu said, guiding Sanemi gently, placing his hands gently along Sanemis waist and shoulder. His hands felt soft, yet they were cold. Sanemi winced as he sat on the side of the bed. "Here, lay down. I'll get some supplies." Giyuu said, putting the wheelchair aside and leaving the room. Sanemi was freaking out internally. Giyuu treated him with such gentleness, it was like he was an Angel. He did not expect that from the ever so fabled water hashira, who's cold and surprisingly sort of sad demeanor, to be capable of that. Giyuu, on the other hand, was frantically searching for a bunch of medical supplies. He didn't want Sanemi to sit there in pain any longer because, well, Giyuu took a liking to him. He's not sure why, but every time he saw Sanemi he couldn't help but feel nervous and a creeping blush approaching his face. Of course, he wasn't sure if Sanemi would like him back, but that was okay. He was more worried with making sure he was okay at the moment. Around 10 minutes later, Giyuu came back into the room with a cart of medical supplies and pulled a chair by Sanemis bed and sat in it. "Can you sit up a little?" He asked, grabbing a washcloth and dipping it into some water. "...Fine." Sanemi Said, moving himself up to where he was sitting up in bed. Giyuu wrung out the wash cloth and carefully held it up to Sanemis face, wiping off some leftover dirt and blood gently. He put a hand on Sanemis cheek while he worked on gently rubbing the cloth over his eyes, making sure to clean his face properly. Butterflies rose in Sanemis stomach, and a soft blush laced his cheeks. "There. Im done cleaning your face." Giyuu said, removing the cloth and his hand from Sanemi. "Okay." Was all Sanemi Said, to nervous to be rude to Giyuu. Giyuu grabbed a small swab and stuck it into a disinfectant. "This might sting a little." Giyuu said, gently putting the swab up to Sanemis face and rubbing it over his injuries. Sanemi winced slightly, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. After disinfecting, Giyuu carefully put a bandage on top of Sanemis wounds. "Can you remove your shirt? You have injuries on your upper body." Giyuu asked, grabbing a small cotton ball and wetting half of it with disinfectant. "Hm...if you say so." Sanemi said, removing his shirt. Giyuu carefully dabbed the cotton ball on Sanemis various wounds and then bandaged them up carefully. "You can put your shirt back on now." Giyuu said, a small blush on his cheeks as well. Sanemi stayed silent, almost as if he had noticed Giyuus blush. But he shrugged it off and put his shirt back on. To be honest, the butterflies in his stomach weren't settling down, in fact, they were getting worse. Giyuu was freaking out internally. Sure, he sees Sanemis chest every day, but when you really see it up close you gotta appreciate how nice it is. And those scars, it makes it 100 times better. They kinda sat there in silence for a while, before Sanemi grabbed Giyuus hand suddenly. "Hm? Shinazugawa...what do you need my hand for?" Giyuu said, slight curiosity showing in his voice. His blush deepened, as Sanemis hands were extremely warm. "Tomioka...thank you...for taking care of me." Sanemi said, looking away from Giyuu as his cheeks reddened. Giyuus hands were as cold as ice, yet they felt so soft. "...It's no problem...you're welcome." Giyuu said, looking down slightly as his internal panicking went to a whole other level. "Uh...would you maybe want to hang out sometime...?" Sanemi asked, looking at Giyuu. Giyuu looked at Sanemi in shock, but he smiled and said, "Sure, let me know where and when." Sanemi smiled back as they continued to hold each others hands.(•1236 words•)
