"Everyone, prepare yourselves and get your car on the start line. The race's about to start."
Someone said through the microphone.

Yuxi parked her car on the line, looking at the others who were trying to focus on the road, thinking about their tactics.

Jisung held the steering wheel, looking calm,  however, nobody knew, it was in fact -  a lie. He was freaking out on the inside, trying to calm himself down, through chanting the words over and over again.

You're going to win this. Easy peasy.

When the man signaled to get ready, silence swallowed everybody.
The crowd waited for the flag to go down while the drivers held their feet, above the gas pedal.

3...
2...
1...

Everything moved in a  slow motion. The flag went down, signalizing the drivers to press the gas pedal. Screeching tires resounded and the cars disappeared.

From afar, it was really hard to see, who was first and who last. Taehoon took over the first place. He blocked the remaining three cars, not even letting them in his zone. It seemed like he had a bad day, because Yujin decided to overtake him. Drifting by him on the turn, she hit him slightly. The car belonging to the boy faltered, anger rising more and more. He saw how Yujin took his place as first, sending him a middle finger through the closed window.

His anger didn't help him. He tried to launch the speed up, mounted in his vehicle, but to no avail. Although, it made the car stop. Taehoon fumed, hitting the steering wheel with his fists.

"Bye, loser."
Yujin whispered to herself, looking back at the opponent with a victorious smile. The girl thought she already won the race, however, she didn't expect Park Jisung to cross her way.

He let himself in front of her smoothly, pissing the girl off.

"You won't play me like that."

She scoffed, pushing the gas pedal harder to now find herself beside the younger boy. She was the type of a person, who couldn't stand losing. Thinking quickly, she hit his car trying to push Jisung out of the road.

Yuxi drove behind them, observing the situation. Seeing, how cruel move Yujin did, she shook her head. It was unfair, but it was a street racing after all. It was illegal, unfair, painful and expensive.

Jisung knew, what kind of a person Yujin was, so he prepared himself. His finger hovered now over a certain button, installed in his steering wheel. For the last time, he looked at Yujin through the window, sending her a smirk. She furrowed her brows, bringing her car closer to his once again, but Jisung was faster.

He presssed the button, making his car rush forward in an unexpected speed. The sudden move scared Yujin to the point, she drove in the pile of barrels.

"What the fuck!?"
She screamed, furiously jumping on her seat.

Yuxi used the opportunity to pass by the girl smoothly, driving right behind Jisung. She had an ace up her sleeve, it could an easy win by using super speed to overtake Jisung, nevertheless, she wasn't interested in winning the race. Yuxi wanted to observe Jisung more and if it meant helping him to win the race, also becoming the best racer on the streets, so be it.

Jisung crossed the finish line, making the crowd yell and cheer loudly. He stopped the car and people already surrounding him,  showed him to get off. He got off just to be met with pats on his shoulder or shaking his body.
The boy smiled widely, suddenly getting confidence. He was about to say something, when Eunji threw herself on him, attacking his soft lips.

Parking in the area near him, Yuxi watched the scene unfold from the distance, raising her eyebrow up. She decided to have some fun and interfere.

Seeing, how the girl confidently walk, the crowd made space for her to get to the boy and his girlfriend.

At last, Eunji peeled her lips off of Jisung, moving to stand next to him. She looked at him completely enchanted, when someone appeared in front of them. She turned to look at the girl, furrowing her brows.

"You're a good driver, Jisung."
Yuxi commented, smiling friendly.

"Umm, thank you-"

"Yuxi. Fang Yuxi."
She pulled her hand out for him to shake.

"You were good too, Yuxi. I have a dangerous opponent. You almost won."

"How unlucky for me. It's nice to meet you though. See you around."

Yuxi was about to turn around and disappear, however, an idea popped in her mind. She looked at the girl beside him, that was crossing her arms. Eunji might have stood calmly, but her eyes told Yuxi otherwise. Eunji was burning the girl alive, just with her eyes. After noticing the look, Yuxi looked back at Jisung.

"One more thing."
Yuxi came closer, that Jisung felt the need to back away pushing himself against the car door, as far away from the girl, as possible. Not caring about his will to run away, she placed her arms on both sides of the car trapping him in between. Then, leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"You deserve better."
Stepping back, she took her sunglasses off her head to place them gently on Jisung's nose. The girl started to walk without turning around, waving at him while smirking.

The whole situation replayed in slow motion in Jisung's head. He was so confused, not knowing what the hell just  happened. The girl next to him, shook in jealousy, trying to not cause the scene.

Suddenly, Jisung thought about the words, the mysterious girl said to him. He surprised himself, how he knew exactly, what she meant. She didn't describe what she was talking about, nonetheless, it was obvious for the boy, that she meant his girlfriend Eunji.

As much as he hated it, he knew deep down, it was true. He deserved better.
