Diagon Alley

The next day Harry awoke and saw an owl pecking on hagrids big coat,Harry being a good person he was tried to get the owl away. Hagrid awoke to the noice and said sleeplily

"pay the owl ten knuts" he said 

"What is that?"harry asked

"The brown 'nes" 

After Harry paid the owl the money and it left

After that hagrid made breakfast that was bacon and eggs and the Potter siblings finally had something that  filled their stomachs for once.

Effie was very lonely after Hagrid and Harry left. Sure, she would go next year so that would mean she would have to spend this year with the dursleys. 

Which would be bad. Effie didnt know why Dursleys hated her and Harry. She often blamed herself as no way Harry was the problem, he was nicest person she knew.But now she knew it because of her and harry being special and part of the wizarding world. She hated them for that for abusing them for no reason at all. 

While she was pondering this, Harry and Hagrid were on their way to Diagon alley.

Harry asked "Hagrid how am i going to pay for this stuff" while looking at his letter containing all the stuff for school. 

"W'ell go to Gringotts the safest place in the wizarding world except maybe Hogwarts" Hagrid replied

After going to the vault and getting the adequate money required, they went to Madam Malkins to get the hogwarts robes, he saw a blonde boy standing there who intiated the conversation.

"Hey" 

"Hello" harry replied

"You first year too?"

"Yeah" harry replied

 "Who are your parents?"

"they are dead" 

"Im sorry" but the blond boy didnt really mean it, he asked another question

"Were your parents wizards?" The blond boy asked

"Yes" Harry replied 

"Thought so,they shouldnt let the other sort in dont you think? By the way what house do you think your going into? Im going to slytherin of course".

"I dont know" Harry replied

Then the blond boy left after hearing his answer, Harry got his clothes and went to Flourish and Blotts.

Harry found the subject of defence against the dark arts subject fascinating and he would be able to defend his sister,he also bought some potions books since Effie was really good at chemistry,so she may be good at this too,who knows.

After that Harry entered Ollivanders for a wand,something he was excited for,Ollivander gave him a wand.

"Beech and Dragon Heartstring,nine inches come on give it a wave" Ollivander said. Harry then waved the wand and shattered a glass lantern on the table.

"No Nope not that then" Ollivander said

After more than 50 wand boxes lay discarded on the table even the holly and phoenix feather was the closest but it wasnt quite the right one.

Ollivander then presented "Yew wood and thunder bird and Phoenix feather core,nine inches,quite supple".Äfter that Harry and felt the wand bond with him and it was a wonderful feeling.

"Interesting" Ollivander said

"Whats interesting?" Harry asked

"Well this wand is the first one Ive ever made,You will do great things Mr.Potter I am sure of it"

After that, Hagrid said "Well I didnt give you a gift did I?" 

Harry didnt really get gifts on his birthday,due to the dursleys not getting him anything.

Hagrid got him a snowy white owl,and he gave him the ticket for kings cross for platform 9 and three quarter

After that harry left and went home
