Murthy Mansion

"Sooraj." Yashjeet scrunched at his nose before turning towards the television. "Why is it so loud outside? Ithna shor machana Kyu?"

Sooraj started to change through the T.V. channels, before turning to grin at his father. "Oh it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow. Hence, the preparation going on. It's gonna be in the garden. A theme birthday party." Yashjeet stared at Sooraj as if his son has gone crazy.

"Tu Pagal tho nahi hua? Teri kaunsi beti hui?" Yashjeet glared at his son, who was still busy in looking for the right channel. "Nandini Murthy. Naam tho suna hi hoga na."

To which, someone just let out a snort, and Sooraj turned to find it was Rudr. Karan, sitting beside him has already spat his juice out.

"Yar Rudy. Stop laughing at Tom and Jerry shows. Bache nahi hai hum ab." Karan smacked in Rudr's head, and took the mobile phone away. Yashjeet turned his attention towards Sooraj and Rudr mouthed a thanks to his brother.

"Sooraj!" Yashjeet's voice was firm and loud that people from inside the washroom have also come out to check if someone's losing their lives.

"Yeah, I know you don't accept her." Sooraj got the right channel, that he kept the T.V. remote on the table. "But I do, Papa. Wo Meri bhi bachi hai. Kyunki wo mere Bhai ki hain. Jithna Haq mene Apne beton ko dhi hai, usse zyada Haq hai Meri beti ko mujhpe aur Meri beewi pe. Baaki I don't know about you and your three sons."

Sooraj stared right through Yashjeet's soul, that the father in him didn't want to surrender to his son.

"Tho jaan lo ke tumhara mere oopar Jo Haq hai, wo zyada din thak nahi rahenge." Saying it Yashjeet stood up to leave, while others stared at him in horror.

"A mistake and then you're out of house." Yashjeet halted, but did not turn around on hearing the voice. "Kya Appa ke old man. After all these years, you haven't changed a little bit."

Yashjeet turned around with his face stoic, ready to blast.

But he got quiet.

"Pari!" Sooraj smiled at the sight in front of him. Nandini. She was at the main door wearing a saree, and he couldn't miss the similarities in her that she shared with his mother.

"Morning to Murthis." Nandini smiled at her brothers who smiled back at her. She waved a HI to Sooraj and her mothers. Once her attention was turned towards the elder 3 Murthis, she got blank looks in return.

She only grinned more at them and walked straight towards the oldest son.

"It's my birthday tomorrow." And then she moved towards Sohesh. "Birthday mein zaroor aana." Mallika chuckled on hearing her. "Wo Kya hain na, Appa ko iske barein mein patha bhi nahi." Nandini grinned at Dharmendra before taking his hands and placing a hamper in his hands. "That's the invitation hamper."

And then she moved towards Yashjeet. Bending down, she touched his feet, who moved backwards in the next instant.

"Relax. Not gonna grab your legs and make you fall." She stood up, and smiled at him. "I was only getting your blessings. You're not gonna come for my birthday, yeah? Isiliye pehle se hi liya."

Yashjeet grumbled under his breath and she put her left thumb in her left ear and rubbed at it. "Suna nahi mene. A little louder, can you?" Nandini asked, as polite as she can, and Yashjeet glared at her. "You don't have to hear anything from me."
