Everyone's heard of those group chats that people make from mutual friends? I was in one of those.
There were 7 of us:
Me
Jennifer
Margo
Ashton
Calum
Michael
And Luke.
Jennifer was my best friend irl, she said that she'd met Margo at a party and Margo was Ashtons girlfriend who had recently come over to here to see her family. We were all so active on the group chat it was kind of evident that none of us had social lives.
The boys were all Ashtons friends, I liked the guys they didn't overlook the fact Jen, Margo and I were girls, they all treated us like they would anyone else.
Luke was my favourite he was always so sweet and innocent.

They were all mental, and we all bullied Luke because he was just easy to bully, not in a mean way we just had friendly banter with him.
Rachel - Hey, guys why don't you all shut up yeah?? Some of us like to sleep.
That's me...I'm Rachel, these messages occurred at 2:00am and I tell you I really didn't appreciate them.

Luke and I often spoke outside of the group chat, it was nice, and he was my favourite out of the guys. I guess you could class us as best friends...The sad thing is, is that my best friend lives on the other side of the world. While I'm here with Jen living it up in England for University they're all the way in Australia doing some band thing while Margo kind of just hangs with them.
Rachel - School ofcourse, what else would it be...well Luke even though I love speaking to you, I need to go to sleep because my classes start at 8, time zones suck, night x

This was usual for us, we cursed timezones and were happy when it came to the weekends because we would both stay up for as long as possible and ensure we would be able to speak to eachother...We've never actually seen eachother though, not even photos. Both of our profile pictures weren't of us, where mine was a picture of my niece his was a penguin...figures right?
The morning was Friday meaning I would have to try and stay up as long as possible to be even slightly active within the chat. Classes for me ended at midday thank god, which meant I was able to go home to my shared house with Jen and get some more work done and then take a nap meaning I was able to stay up late. I woke up to my phone vibrating profusely next to me. I didn't check the caller I'd I just answered.
"Hello?" I asked groggily.
"Rachel is that you?" An Aussie accent danced through my ears.
I shot up in shock pulling the phone away from my ear to see the caller id was in fact Lukes.
"Luke?" I asked awkwardly.
"No it's actually Michael, Luke has a huge crush on you" He shouted.
