Happy birthday to AL Original! 3 whole years of cringy, writing career beginning love. I've got so many people to appreciate, and I owe the entirety of my creative writing and fanfic career to you, AL. May this story redeem the cringe.

Crunching through the lush foliage, my feet sank into a carpet of vibrant grass, wood, and leaves, each foreign to my senses. Above, the ever-looming thunder echoed through the dense canopy, reminding us of the storm's distant presence. Guided by Purple's navigation, we landed in a small clearing, encircled by an alien forest of towering trees. These colossal beings blocked out what little daylight the cloudy sky provided, leaving us immersed in an otherworldly twilight.

Surrounding me and my team, a breathtaking display of alien flora lit up the dimness with a mesmerizing array of colors. The plants seemed to pulse with life, releasing glowing particles that bounced off our suits whenever we brushed against them.

"Wow," Yellow gasped, her gaze drawn upward to the majestic treetops. Inside our helmets, the glass darkened to accommodate the low light environment, with only the faint green lights providing illumination to our faces. The ethereal glow of the alien flora and the calming ambiance of the forest filled me with a sense of wonder. Despite the pressing urgency of our mission, I was captivated by the beauty of the planet. As the leader of Team A, I led the way, my eyes scanning the path ahead with a keen focus.

Pink's instructions rang in my mind as I navigated through the alien landscape. We were to travel around half a mile to reach a field where an exceptionally oxygen-rich plant was said to grow. The muffled voices of Team B drifted through the forest, indicating that they too were reveling in the splendor of this extraterrestrial world.

Carefully, I guided my team, ensuring we remained in a tight formation as we ventured deeper into the forest. The hum of the ship's landing engines was now faint, lost in the melody of the alien flora's gentle rustling. Each step we took unveiled new and exotic plant life, each more mesmerizing than the last.

"Keep your eyes peeled, Team A," Pink said softly through the comms, reminding my team of the task at hand. "The plant should be near your location."

Suddenly, a faint glimmer of vibrant light caught my eye in the distance. I motioned for my team to halt and cautiously approached the source. Before us lay an awe-inspiring field, aglow with the iridescent hues of countless plants. The field extended as far as the eye could see, a breathtaking sea of color and life. The sensors told me that these were the plants we were looking for.

"Look at this," Orange whispered in amazement, her voice tinged with awe.

"It's incredible," Purple added, his eyes wide with wonder.

We stood in silence, absorbing the beauty of the sight before us. The rhythmic pulsing of the plants created a symphony of light and color, mesmerizing us in its dance. I smiled, stepping forward into the lush jungle. As my feet pressed down on the vibrant grass, little lights of spores burst from where I had stepped, momentarily spooking me. Behind me, a few startled yelps echoed the same surprise.

As quickly as they had come, the little lights floated off into the wind, disappearing into the dense forest. I turned my body and nodded in reassurance. "Alright everyone," Yellow said, clapping her hands. "Let's get harvesting!" The enthusiasm in her voice spread to my team, and they walked forward into the colorful field, causing more of the luminous spores to dance into the air. I tapped Purple's shoulder as he passed, and he acknowledged me with a nod.
