I stand hidden in the far corner of the ballroom concealed by the crowds and watch Kennedy.
When I learnt of my pack being picked in the ballot for the Winter Solstice ball, I rushed home. I had to come; I needed to see her.

The remorse I feel for what happened is crippling me, I wanted to apologise. I think back to the meeting me and the other girls had in the Deans office on the day we returned to Mount Darwins

"My girls, I am so happy to welcome you back to Mount Darwins," he said as he looked at us all "I had never given up hope of finding you" his kind smile soothed my soul

"Thank you Dean for getting us out" Daisy had told him

"If truth be known I did not know you were kept there" he closes his eyes momentarily "It was Kennedy who made me stay to look for you" Guilt is written on his face

"I wish to thank Kennedy, Has she returned to Mount Darwins" Carly had asked him

"She has, but I must request that you stay away from her" he cast his eyes on us "I do not ask this lightly but Kennedy has experienced trauma far greater than we shall ever know"

Guilt explodes in my body and shame rushes through my veins, I wonder if he knows

"She is currently being healed by her guardian angel"

My eyes widen in shock "G-Guardian Angel?" it is very rare for a wolf to have a guardian angel, almost all of us were healed by healers. My mom had said that only people of great importance are blessed with the angels like I knew the King Alpha was

"Yes Adelaide" he looks at me the same way he looks at the others. He must not know of the secret that burns within me

"You were not here on Kennedy's return to school when her true identity was revealed; you see Kennedy is the prophecy we have been told about, the spiritual daughter of our Moon Goddess and Diabolus the Prince of Darkness"

"T-The devil" Ria stutters

"Yes Ria, in his beast form he is Satan the King of Hell" I tremble at this news, for I know of Satan very well

"As she is their spiritual daughter she is known as a Goddess and a beautiful one she is too" The other girls all nod their heads in agreement "She is also mated to Prince Alpha Deacon so she is also our Princess Luna. Kennedy needs to heal girls as she needs the strength for what is to come" his wolf flashes in his eyes so I know it must be serious "If Kennedy is to approach you, it means she has worked through that part of the healing process and can recognise you; at the moment the angels have made all associated of her time in that house as faceless entities in her memories. As her ultimate protector, it is my job to protect her, to cause her memories to resurface when she is not ready can have detrimental effects. So you are to leave her until she is ready, do you understand?" he asks us all

"Yes Dean," we say in unison

"You may thank her when the time is right, she is dealing with more than what you know and I am not at liberty to say"

"Yes Dean," we say again as we are dismissed from his office

I caught glimpses of her around campus and it fuelled the need to approach her, to say sorry so I could move on.

I saw my opportunity in the library, but it didn't go well at all and I knew I had done the exact thing that the Dean had warned us not to do, I triggered her memories, and I pretty much undone all the work her guardian angel had done. It was my fault she was now back in the deep, dark twisted hell on earth. Now I had another wrong-to-right

So now here I am, watching her and waiting for my opportunity once again
