"Ow." Katsuki started at me holding his hurt cheek.

"Oh my goodness," I say putting my hand on my mouth. "I'm very sorry."

He turned away from me, so I take a hold of his wrist. "Can I see it?" I asked. "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine," Katsuki whispered, pulling his arm away from me.

Shota cleared his throat from the doorway. Has he been watching us the entire time? "Don't be sorry." He said. "The brat had it coming."

I shot Shota a glare hoping he'll take the hint to leave. He does, but not before he placed a paper bag on the table by the door. My lunch, to-go.

I put a hand on Katsuki's back, and he flinched, but he doesn't pull away. "I'm very sorry I slapped you." I said, 'Even though you very much deserve it.' I thought, but didn't dare say it out loud. "But I have to go now. I'll be back in the morning." I say heading for the door to grab the paper bag. I look back at Katsuki.

"No," he says. "You don't have to come back."

I should be happy, I should simply thank him and never come back.

"No I made a promise and I'm keeping on keeping it." I say instead. "I'll be back in the morning."

That night, I dreamed that I was running through a French garden, lost in a maze of chrysanthemums bushes of many different colors, stone benches, and fountains. I'm not afraid, though. I'm aware that someone is chasing me. But it's for fun, I'm giggling. And he's laughing.

I round a corner in the maze a yelped a fell back as I ran into him. He's laughed as he picked me up in a hug. He has the brightest eyes, full of joy and love-love for me. I know his eyes.

Then the world around us goes black, and I'm alone still in the garden maze. I'm not giggling anymore, instead I'm breathless with fear afraid to run and afraid to stand still.

I heard my pursuer making his way through the shrubs-he isn't laughing now. He's growling and snarling like a monster, and I cower into the darkness corner  I can find, hoping the sun will come out. When I catch a glimpse of the beast as he rounds the corner. I sit up in bed with a start breaking out in a cold sweat scared out of my dream.
