The silent treatment between the boys and the girls continued for a long time.
James and the boys found themselves in awe at Lyra, she was just like them, funny and mischievous.
At lunch one day Lyra got a letter that Sirius snatched from her and James read it over Sirius shoulders.

We hope you're keeping our family pride up although the unfortunate circumstance of your house. We do not want you home for Christmas so you're going to need to stay at school. Your grandma told us to say to you to watch your carbs. That's all

He read it aloud.
"What a pleasant letter, fucking lovely"
They laughed at Sirius comment.
"Like I fucking wanted to spend Christmas with those people, naaaah, I'll have a great time here at Hogwarts"
They continued eating and James an Sirius had a quiet conversation that only the two of them could hear.
"Can we write your parents and ask if we can take Ly with us this Christmas!?" Sirius asked
"I'm sure we don't even have to ask, but I'll write them anyway"
"Good, I don't wanna leave her here "
A few hours after this James sat down in their dorm to write his parents.
Dear Mum
Hope you and dad are fine! I'm doing great, remember the letter I wrote you before about Sirius twin. Well her name is Lyra, she's great and look so much like Sirius although much more beautiful. Anyway she has nowhere to go for Christmas so I was wondering if maybe Me and Sirius could bring her with us?
I'm sure you'll say yes but I figured I should ask anyway .
I need to go to Quidditch practice now.

A few weeks after everyone, except James and Sirius who we're at quidditch practice, sat down in the boys dorm studying. They weren't still on good terms with the girl so they usually kept too the boys dorn. James and Sirius came in joyfully discussing quidditch wen the others looked at them James said
"Lyra you're going home to my place with Sirius and I at Christmas"
"What!!? But.." she was interrupted by Sirius
"Que veux-tu dire par But?!" (What do you mean by but)
"ugh, pas besoin de paraître si rude, I just wanted to know pourquoi" (ugh, no need to be rude, I just wanted to know why)
Sirius and Lyra accidentally sometimes spoke a mix of French and English with sometimes helped the others understand.
"And I'll tell you pourquoi" James answer " pourquoi, I don't want you to celebrate Christmas here alone and you'll miss the amazing 'Noël à la Potters'. And Sirius refuses to be without you"
"Vraiment? Es-tu sûr?" (Really? Are you sure?)
"duh, oui bien sûr, je suis sûr" Sirius answered " I don't wanna be without ma chère soeur" (duh, yes of course I am sure! I don't wanna be without my dear sister)
"d'accord! I'd love to come James, are you sure your parents are okay with it"
"bien sûr que oui!" (Of course yes)
