Kitsune

Anyway, before I start, maybe some of you, who visited Fanfiction.Net already heard this from me but for those who didn't know (yet) let me warn you that English isn't my native language so I want to apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes.

A baby brown and yellow fox with a bushy tail was suckling contently into his mother's hilt. His small paws kneaded its mother's thick fur and a soft whine could be heard from its snot every time he drank the milk out of habit. 

His name is Tsunayoshi, a young kitsune, who lives with a pack named Kitsune Hills. It's already 6 times for them to move from one place to another because of the hunters. They kept hidden. Away from the human world. Iemitsu, both Tsuna's father and the leader of the pack, tried his best to protect his pack. 

In this month, their pack has been losing another member, a kit and an elder. Full of anger and grief, Iemitsu and some of his followers tried to track down the hunters every damn night even though they knew it was just pointless. They lost in strength.

Although kitsune has a high intelligence compared to humans, there is something that they don't have. And that is a technology.

Wherever their group moves to another place to find shelter or a safe point, humans can find their hiding places easily because of those damn things. The thing on their hand, the one that can make a loud sound already killed lots of his family. Iemitsu despised them to the chore, he hated them so much that he made a vow that one day all of the kitsunes from around the world would work together and eradicate them.

Unknown to him, his son has other thoughts. For kits like him, Tsuna still does not understand how war happened between humans and kitsunes. His father told him about the selfishness and greed of humans are, they thirst for power and without hesitation, they will destroy everything that gets in their way. Therefore, Tsuna concludes that humans are dangerous. But again, hearing a word of war,  he didn't like it. One bit. 

War is a single word that can result in destruction and bloodshed. He hates those words, bloody red, death, corpse, and whatever you want to add inside. He believes, there is another way to stop the war without having to show their claw and kill each other. 

After his stomach was full enough, Tsuna detached from his mother's hilt and walked towards her. He bumped his head into hers before laying between her front legs, letting his mother clean his fur with that scratchy and rough tongue. 

In a content, Tsuna curled himself into a small ball with his tail on top of his head before he closed his eyes. 

Under the slumber, he felt he wasn't on the ground anymore. Instead, he was in his father's mouth, careful enough not to hurt him with his sharp fangs. With a jolt, he was fully awakened to see they were moving fast. His mother ran beside them. 

"Papa, what happens? Where are we going?!" Tsuna whined. He couldn't hide his fear. 

"Intruders. Humans found us." His father spat angrily. He barked at his pack without slowing their pace. "Keep moving! Make sure you have no one left behind, we are going to move faster!"

"Anata we are too close to human beings!"

"I know! We don't have another choice, the hunters already blocked our way, this is the only choice we have!" 

"I think they tried to lead us into their trap! We need to do something fast, we can't keep running like this. The elders and injured kitsune aren't going to make it! And these high cliff doesn't help us at all!" 

Cursing, Iemitsu knew about all that, he was not reckless or dumb, but chose to stop and turn around where the hunters would be, waiting for them, which is the same as suicide. They will kill them and take the pups. Include his pup too.

"We don't have a choice." His words were firm this time, with a hint of bitterness. 

The loud sound of the engine in the sky at night attracted their attention.

"Oh, my kitsune! What the hell is that?!" Sora, a black beta kitsune screaming at them.

Tsuna couldn't see what it was until those sounds moved to the front. And he, gave a conclusion to himself, if he didn't like that thing. That thing almost looked like a dragonfly but bigger and also the wings weren't flapping like a dragonfly usually does, instead it was rotating. And those weird things make a loud, sickening sound while the wind from it is strong enough to make him hard to see. 

In a panic, the pack scattered around, trying to run from it.

"Damnit, don't scatter!" Called Iemitsu, but his pack was too scared and panicked to listen to his command.

"Papa mama stop!" Screamed Tsuna and just in time they stopped in surprise to find the flying thing flew so close almost touched the ground. In an attempt to block their escape. Inside it, a human holding something in its hand pointed at them.

Iemitsu put his kit down and stepped forward, protectively shielding his frightened son while his beloved wife did the same at his side. They standing side by side. As for their family, suddenly ran back to their side and made a big circle with their pups inside it. 

"Protect them no matter what!" Command Iemitsu.

And the chaos begins. humans with their dogs and the kitsune clashed with each other.

In the middle of the war, Iemitsu took down one of the hunters while Nana bit the dog, they both shared a look for a moment. Understanding, Nana nodded her head, her eyes brimming with tears. 

Tsuna tried to fight back along with the other pups until he felt something off. He ran towards his father, flinching hard every time he heard a loud noise with screams of pain. 

"Papa.."

His father turned around and stared warmly at his golden eyes. He nuzzled his head slightly before giving a lick on his head. "I love you, my lil kitsune." He said softly. 

"What.." No words came out of his dry mouth. He knew something was going to happen.

"Sora." He barked. Sora who's been skillfully avoiding the attack from humans and the sudden attack from their dog gave a sharp yip as a acknowledgement if he heard him. "Promised me to protect my family no matter what." He continued.

Sora gave a sharp look at Iemitsu and he nodded his head with determination. "Yes, Iemitsu-sama."

Sora barked at Dan and Kendo to defend his position. After that, he bit hard on the human's trachea, he tasted sweet tangy blood oozing out, and he held it for a few seconds until he couldn't feel the beat. After making sure the human died, he let go, giving a hatred gaze at the corpse below him. 

Without waiting any longer, he ran toward his leader and stood by his side. Iemitsu nodded, he gave his last lick to his wife, nuzzling lovingly while whispering how much he loved her between the nuzzle of their neck. As for a cue, he stepped away from them before turning his body and dashing toward the weird flying thing, he sped up and with all he might, Iemitsu jumped in and took down the human that was holding the dangerous object in their hand. After that, he moved on to the front and took down another human. Pretty sure these humans are the ones who controlled it.

"Papa!" Tsuna screamed. He tried to chase his father but Sora blocked his way. His mother got tackled by a dog at the exact time of the thing with his father still inside suddenly began to tilt and fell to the ground. Explode with huge waves. 

The impact of the explosion made everyone who was close to the impact crash to the ground with a hard thud, they couldn't protect themselves from the metal splinters. While for Tsuna, because of how small his body was, he couldn't hold from it and flew away before fell from the height of the cliff. 

Tsuna didn't remember anything after the impact afterwards. The last time before he was unconscious he heard someone calling his name followed by a loud bang.
