"Are you even listening, ha? Cresia."

I put my AirPods off my ear, I suppose she is done with her rants about that man again. I'm having my break after I finish those documents for my last case but this girl just shows up here and starts her stories about the man that she bump also the same man she hates, well if I were her I will also react like this but why this girl even had access to my schedule so that she knew when or what time she can bother me.

"Just let him Chiara, like you always do?" Like how you let him ruin you. "Just act like you don't care at all, after all, I bet he didn't care also."

"Well, I don't care." Then why the heck she is here? forgot damn sake she is been pestering me  the hull time

"Just go, Chiara. I still have a new case to do." I said with evidence of laziness in my voice and start to pick up those new documents that my secretary Lyneth bought here.

"Ok. Fine, you have no thrills at all. Just reading and attending some of the cases, you have no fun at all. cousin," she emphasized the last word in a sarcastic tone after she stormed out of the room.

This lady is still spoiled by Tita, what will happen if pag nalaman nila that their only daughter has a man back then? Well, it's not my problem anymore.

I was holding the document when my phone rang. "Cresia speaking" I answered without looking at it, after all, I don't expect someone

"Will you come" Hearing those gentle voices, made my mood change.

"I try Mom." after that, I ended it. Whatever they try to contact me, it is still new to me that after years they act as if that incident didn't happen. What if it didn't happen will they care for me? or still act like they didn't have a daughter?

For now, I don't want to think of that past after all parang kinalimutan na din nila, Who am I to remind it right if they forget then, it's their choice to forget but for me, to forget is to forget him. That's the last thing I will

"Attorney?" That voice made me wake up from my thought

"Yes? Lyneth" She slowly enters the room having my schedule in her hand.

"Attorney, you have a meeting after 5 minutes with the witness of the rape victim on your latest case at.." she glanced at her phone. "the restaurant at the lobby atty."

"What's with the restaurant?"

"Uhm, atty the witness is yung may ari po ng cruise ship" halata sa boses niya ang pag alinlangan, well I preffered to talk in my office if it about work dahil iba ang trabaho sa sarili ko buhay and I don't want that work meddle in my own private life.

"Ok, let's go" I grabbed my blazer and Lyneth followed me out of the room. Lyneth wasn't my secretary more on she is an intern.

When we enter the elevator I can see my reflection after the elevator closed with my black skirt, black blazer, and white shirt underneath my natural office outfit. When we reach the lobby, Lyneth guided me, as we enter the restaurant. Lyneth called for our reservation.

"You can go back Lyneth, you may have your lunch it's already time," I said while glancing my at phone for some update on the evidence of this case.

"yes atty, also Mr. Castaneda informed me that he will be late" I almost dropped my phone hearing those last names.

"W-What?" I said almost in a whisper.

"Captain Kai Ciandrie Castaneda, attorney?" I almost fell on my chair after hearing those familiar names, why him? I gathered myself to nod in response to Lyneth and after that, she left.

This can't be happening, for all those years ngayon sila lahat nag paramdam like what with the day to make them show up, oh come on I've been so stressing this day so spare me for another one but good to him, he already became a captain. As I expected.
