"Are you OK?", Patrick asked, pulling the covers over Desirée.

"Yes thanks", she replied hoarsely.
Patrick smiled, then turn to leave the room.

"Patrick", she called, he turn towards her.

"Yes"

"Can you just keep me company for the night", she said, unsure of the answer

"Sure", he smiled, he said kicking off his jacket and shoes "scoot over", he grinned.
He wrapped his hands around her waist and cradled his body to hers.

"I just want you to tell me everything tomorrow Des, if nothing comes out of this, I just want us to be friends", he whispered.

"OK, I'll tell you everything tomorrow, and i- I'd like that", she said sleepily.

"Goodnight", he whispered, but she was already asleep.

*******
The buzzing of her phone was what woke Desirée the following morning, and to top it off she didn't have a good sleep.Dominic face plagued her....his betrayal.

"Hello", she answered groggily, looking at the time which was 7:30. Work, she hissed sitting up, then realising Patrick was still there and asleep.

"Des, its Dominic", he informed.
Desirée paused before she slammed the phone to the night stand. She suddenly felt like crying all over again.

"Hey beautiful", Patrick smiled, now awake.

"Morning", she grinned.

"Wanna talk about last night?
Desirée rubbed her eyes, wiping away the sleep.

"Uhh sure, well last night", she sighed "I found out Dominic cheated on me in high school".

"I didn't know you too were an item until last night", he stated.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you", she sighed.

"Are you over him?", he asked bluntly.
Desirée paused, the question was so out of the blue.

"Uh- I we...", she sighed in defeat.

"If you don't tell me anything, tell me this", he paused, staring intently at her "was he the one you slept with?"
There was a small silence.

"Patrick...I-

"You don't have to say anything else",he said grabbing his jacket "I have to go"

"Patrick wait", Desirée called, but he ignored her and walked away.

*********
Desirée stepped in the office at five minutes past nine. She knew she was very late but she didn't give a damn. She went in and found Dominic standing by the window. When he heard the click at the door he turned around, his eyes boring into her. He quickly moved towards her.

"Desirée, I'm sorry for--"

"You don't have to apologize", she said firmly, "you owe me nothing, so it would be better if we just get on with what we're doing", she said placing her purse on a chair.

"Des, it was a mistake that happened ten god damn years ago", he snapped.

"I don't. Want. To. Hear. It", she ground out bitterly. How could she ever trust the man again? Her heart felt broken all over, again, and she hadn't seen that photo, she would have never known.

"Des, please I'm begging you, forgive me", he pleaded.
