emma pov

i'm in my room when suddenly my door opens. i look over to the door seeing my mom's boyfriend.

"can i talk to you?" he asks

"um sure" i say

he walks in my room and sits down on the bed beside me. "i really like your mom and i want to marry her someday. i hope that's okay with you"

little does his poor soul know my mom have like five different boyfriends right now.

"yeah that's fine with me" i smile giving him false hope

"good good" he smiles "i'll always be here for you emma. you're just like my daughter"

"thanks" i say

"well that's all i really wanted,your mom and i are going out" he say before standing up

"okay" i nod

i watch as he leaves out my room and close the door behind him.

my phone gets a notification and i see it's from kourtney.

i turn on the tv and head to netflix. i look around my room making sure it's clean.

i head downstairs and get a bag of popcorn and put it in the microwave.

i watch the popcorn bag fill up before stopping the microwave. i open the bag and pour it into a bowl.

i grab two juices and head upstairs back to my room. i sit it them down along with the popcorn .

i scroll through instagram scrunching up my face in disgust when seeing certain people pop up on my feed. people from my school are so fake.

one minute they texting me about how i'm so pretty and kind and whatever and the next at school they talk shit about me to my face and say weird stuff.

i hear the front door of my house open and footsteps walking upstairs. i grab my golf club and the door to my room opens.

i was about to swing but stopped when i saw kourtney. "you scared the shit out of me" i say

"what have i told you about locking doors? they're crazy people that will break in and take you and all your personal belongings" she roll her eyes taking off her shoes

"i'm sorry,i just kept it unlocked cause i knew you were coming" i tell her

"don't let it happen again" she say before sitting down on my bed beside me

"i won't" i say

"good" she say before i press play on the movie

i feel asleep halfway through the movie and i'm being shaken awake by kourtney.

"whatttt" i whine

"why are you still texting steven?" she asks
