28 - Wagashi 🍢

"Baby ~ you're going to have a little brother! Daddy went above and beyond for you!" Your husband hummed as he lifted his son up and spun him around lightly with him in his arms.

"I won't tell you yet whether it's a brother or a sister. Misa will come soon and we'll find out the baby's gender." You said with a hand on your belly.

The pregnancy test you took weeks ago is long forgotten. You don't need this anymore. Because now you know for sure that you are pregnant.

Several months have passed.

You had another pregnancy check-up. And all is well.
Misa talked you into making a surprise. She will know the baby's gender but you and Satoru won't.

Apparently she is supposed to bake something with Yuri and bring it.

Blue and pink cookies?

Something like that. Suguru visited you to take care of this as well. The more people, the better the fun.

At least that's what Misa thought.

"But think about it, if it's a boy now, Haru will be happy. If it's a girl it's so good too! I'll have you round like that next to me again!

"Wait what?"

"If it's a girl, will we try again?" He gave you a soft smile.

How could you resist that happy smile? These eyes filled with sparks of love.

Could you refuse him?

You haven't even given birth to your third child yet and he already wants a fourth?

You know exactly that Haru is too little to want a brother. But maybe Satoru wants him to have a brother.

And when you asked him if he would prefer a son or a daughter, he said he didn't care... Would he prefer a son?

You wanted to smile at the thought that maybe it was true.
But you held back.

You wanted to finish analyzing what he had just said and what he wanted to do.

He wanted to have another child to see you pregnant? This doesn't make a bit of sense, however, if that's what he means, you can tell him outright that it's not a good reason to have a fourth child.

He convinced you to do the third one and you gave in. You were now pregnant and you were waiting for your friend to come with this surprise for you two to find out the gender of the baby.

"Maybe there will be a little brother! Or little sister! Are you happy? Haru?" he asked his son with a smile, and he pursed his lips and blew air out of his mouth, spitting slightly.

"I guess that wasn't a good reaction." he murmured and placed the baby on his shoulder.

Your son's belly was resting on his shoulder as he looked down as his head was turned to your husband's chest.
His little hands were hanging and he didn't seem afraid. He just looked down with his big blue eyes and paid no attention to anything.

However, you were worried that he might be sleeping.

You walked up to him and placed your hand on his head as you lifted your other hand.

"Toru, be careful..." you said calmly. You stood on your tiptoes to reach higher for your son. And he looked to the side, placing his hand on your husband's neck as he smiled.

Your children like to be up high.

The tip of your stomach pressed against his lower abdomen as you reached for your son.
