"WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THAT GWI-NAM KID?" Joon-yeong groaned, turning to Cheong-san, "You said he got bitten."
"I don't know." Cheong-san gazed at the fire, "It looks like he became something totally different."
"I don't think he can die."
Wu-jin looked around, "What if he climbed back up here?"
"He's bad enough..." Ji-min trailed off, "But honestly, I'm scared of Nam-ra too. You saw her fighting before."
Dae-su spoke, "Well... I think it's reasonable to assume they're both halfbies — "
Hyo-ryung pinched him in the stomach.
"What?"
Ji-min turned to look at Nam-ra, "Are you really okay, Nam-ra? You won't do that to us, right?"
Nam-ra paused, "Would you believe me if I said I wouldn't?"
"Why do you have to say it that way?" Ji-min spat, "Can you at least try to make us believe you?" She paused, "We're going to be together anyway."
The fire cracked from in front of them. "I... I've never done anything but study. I don't think I was naive, I think I was a coward." She paused, "I was too scared my grades would drop and my mom would get mad so I didn't do anything. I was too scared to make friends. My mom would always ask me what rank they were in class, what their parents did, how big their house was."
Nam-ra placed more wood in the fire, "I never thought I'd get a chance to sit around a fire with all of you like this. It's really nice. If somehow we get out of here, I hope we could make a fire and hang out again like this."
Ae-ri agreed, "Yeah. Let's do that."
"We can all get together." On-jo smiled.
"Sorry Nam-ra... You too Ae-ri." Ji-min apologized, "Because of the fight we had in the classroom."
Ae-ri nodded, sending her a genuine smile.
Nam-ra chuckled softly, looking down. "Oh, did you just smile? Super awkward."
"God. Come on." Hyo-ryung looked at Dae-su annoyingly. "What now? What?"
"Why don't you two just date already?" Wu-jin commented. "You guys are so annoying."
"Are you crazy?"
"Psycho."
Hyo-ryung and Dae-su looked at each other in disbelief.
"Hold on." Nam-ra gasps, "Do you hear that?"
"No. What is it?" Ye-joon asked her alarmingly.
Hyo-ryung looked around, "What? Is someone out there?"
