The dinning hall that night was rambunctiously loud due to the yells, and cries of all the excited campers who have finally stopped groaning about the returning of the normal schedules. The snow that sagged from the edge of the pavilloan's roof started to melt away at last, the water smashing onto the head of any person who just so happened to be walking under it. It was almost as if the snow was acting like a small 11 year old boy who was much too keen upon pranks. Still, it brightened the mood a bit as laughter rang out from the snow's direction once in a while.
The air is also damp tonight, a smell of petrichor penetrating the senses delightfully, though I can't remember it raining at all today, and even if it did, the weather is much too cold for the water to stay...water! In all this chaos, it was hard to find anyone from any other cabin since we all arrived here at different times so I just stuck with Casper to eat. He generously gave up hanging with his "buddies" so that I would have company. Tonight we were served Mr.Flarity's home made jallipinio poppers with a side of stringed cheese. It was super classy as you see. I admit, the jallipinio poppers were a little too hot for me so I didn't end up eating that much. I wasn't that hungry anyways. I had almost forgotten about the night before. The nightmare traveling I did. The image of Richards lifeless and bloody body, the sound of Amanda's peircimg screams reverberating in my mind. I thought about pulling my hands up to my ears to try and block the sound, but thought twice about it, for doing that would end up with stares being thrown my way. Plus Casper was talking away to me anyways, or at least trying to. You couldn't exactly hear him over all the chaos going on in the dinning hall.
I tried to concentrate on his voice but still, the sound of the girl was starting to drive me mad. I stood gingerly from the bench I was sitting on, preparing for a slow walk that would hopefully clear my mind a bit. This was a mistake. Standing up caused me to be vulnerable, and he took advantage of that. Something suddenly clicked inside my head. I need to see him, where is he?
I began walking, walking towards something I would soon regret. Casper gave me a questioning look but didn't ask anything, he seemed quite confused. My head began to feel light headed, with black splotches shading most of His sight, grabs onto something in front of him. It was a table. The people sitting there gave us a weary and frightfully look but seemed to forget about us as we moved a long. He let go and seemed to stammer over to the middle of the pavilion. He screamed. It was nonsense and gibberish but it all seemed to make sense to me, it was a diversion so that he could find what he really wanted.
The shouts were loud, causing everyone, even the birds in the sky and the squirells in the trees to turn and listen in. Casper jolted out of his seat at the sight of me. He yelled my name but he told me to ignore it, the concern in Casper's voice cousing me to be angry. Why must he always be concerned for me, does he not trust me?!?! I don't know why I thought this, I really wanted to run into his arms and breakdown, let it all out, but him and his emotions were clouding my own. I began to back away from him once more, leading me to a situation that would get me killed.
"Wow wow wow, where do you think your going?" It was Richard, at last it was Richard. I threw out my arms like I was about to hug him, but they latched on to something completely different, his neck. His eyes buldged in surprise as my fingers dug into the sides of his neck. He tore at my hands, trying to be freed of my grip but my elbows locked, there was no turning back now.
Whitney scrambled to her feet, shock and fear plastered on her face. Lisa jumped up after her, attempting to hold her back. That's when the chant began.
