I was sitting on my couch when everything changed. My mother had told me all about what was rong with my blood and she told me where I would end up having to go but I never thought it would be so soon. I was on my computer doing my online homework. My dog Brody was outside doing his buiseness. I started to hear barking outside. I slowly gut up from my couch thinking it was just our neighbors dog  again. I opened my patio door and started shouting his name, but then I quickly realized  that the "neighbors dog" was no where to be seen. "All right then. Brody come on, it's not gonna come inm=, whatever it is." Brody started walking in still a little riled up. He ran right over to the living room window and started barking again. "Hey! Shut up, our neighbors are gonna call the cops." He relunctantly stoped but but just started whinning instead. This time as I looked out the window I saw something, a dark shadow crossing over the snow quickly. One thought popped in my head as I so fimiliar to the sensation, shadow rider. I knew noone else who shared the same...gift that I had so I started to panic. I turned on every light I could find trying to iliminate the shadows but ended up just making more.

I started having a anxiety/panic attack, I was breathing hard, holding my chest where my heart was. I knew what was out there, he was looking for me and I knew it but I didn't think he would find me so soon. My hands were shaking and I was starrteing to sweat nervously. The shadow in the room flickered, not the lights, the shadows. I did the only thing I could think of, I ran ot my padio door. The snow was freezing against me feet. My dog Brody was running beside me. I wasn't wearing shoes so I stumbled as I ran through the woods in my back yard. I was trying to avoid any darkness around me. I swung past trees and bushes as Brody weaved beside me. I tried not to use my power, it would make me vaulnerable to his strengths but not using it was one of the hardest things I haver ever tried to do. I triped on a loose branch and fell ontop of Brody. He fell with me but was not hurt. I started to cry but it was my only choice. I took off my heart necklace that my mother gave me when I was three. I tied the chain around Brody's collar and sobbed into his neck hugging him. He whimpered but he got the point some how and started running back. I laid in the snow feeling the fear swallow me. This time instead of the lights flickering they formed a black body, the body of my father.

There was no face, just the shadows of his face. He stalked toward me, and I lay shocked in the snow with freezing tears streaking down my face. He started speaking repeating the same thing over and over.

I dwell in the lake that you seek,

reaching havack on all the meak.

Soon your doom will fallow you,

and your fate will be cut short...soon, (and then he would repeat).

I tried to crawl away but he gripped my arm with claws like death. I screamed as my skin was ripping and blood was pouring down my arm. He dragged me across the forest ground, scraping my back on anyting that lay there. His claws ripped down my arm further reaching down to my wrist. I cried out in pain but he ignored me. I was trying to grabb anything that was close enough for me to reach but each tim I tried he ripped me away. I stomped the ground and tried to digg my feet in the ground. I was sobbing and clawing at his arm. He then dropped me on the ground, leaving me there whimpering like a kid. I didn't realize what he was doing but I didn't want to stick around to find out. I scrambled up and ran as fast as I could, but it wasn't very fast for my arm was bleeding along with my back and my legs felt like icecles. As I ran he didn't fallow me. I saw a sign ahead of me and charged faster than I thought I could wanting a rescue more than anything I have ever wanted before. I got closer but to my dismay realized there was nothing there. I slowed, sobbing harder now. I don't know why but I kept walking, hoping for something. To my luck I started halucinating. There, where there was nothing, was now a camp.  Four (fake) people started walking towards me. A girl with long brown hair, a boy with jet black hair, a boy with blonde hair, and a girl with a bleech blonde bob cut. My knees started buckling and my vision was getting blury. I started to fall and the blonde boy caught me. I thought you could not feel halucinations. How could this camp be real.
