Chapter 2:Johanna and Gale?!?

I scurry up the wooden stairs after Peeta and I have eaten breakfast, and gotten ready for today. Peeta has already left for work at the bakery which leaves me nothing to do all day. He decided to rebuild the bakery a few years ago to get things off his mind, but now he just works there for fun. He has tried to teach me how to bake but I guess some things are just not meant to be...
I peek up at a shiny silver mirror in our bedroom and think about what I should do today. Maybe I can go hunt? No.... Ive been hunting all week. My thoughts are interrupted by a ring of a phone. I slide over to where the old raven black phone sits and pick it up.

Phone Call:
Annie: Hello?
Katniss: Hey
Annie: Hi Kat its Annie!
Katniss: oh hi Annie how are you?
Annie: Great, um... I need to tell you something.
Katniss: Yeah...?
Annie: Well......uh-um
Annie: Yeah um... Johanna... Uh... Ok so Johanna is engaged.
Katniss: That's great! But you don't seem to happy about it?
Annie: um.... Well.... I'm fine with it but I don't think you will be...
Katniss: Why?
Annie: Katniss. Johanna is engaged to Gale.
*Katniss Hangs up*

No. No! How could this even happen! I shouldn't be so upset over this! I need Peeta. What time is it. I rush down the narrow hall and look at a clock. It reads 2:36 pm. Tears start to fill my eyes with the realization that Peeta won't be home for several hours and my old best friend is going to marry my new best friend. What if he takes her away from me? Just like he took Prim away from me.
